    combo to head shell question?

This ^^^ is absolutely one of my favorite parts of my Lone Star...the ability to adapt it easily to the volume requirement for the situation. Granted, there are some tweaks needed when going from place to place, but once you understand the tool, it doesn't take long to dial in the perfect sound...

Awesome Lonstar Classic tone! How about the LSS?

I'm 110% in love with my LSC 1x12...Bronco Blue and all. I have no issues coaxing any sound of it it. Between the two channels, my guitar's volume control, and judicious use of an overdrive pedal, I can conjure up any tone I would ever want. There are times that my single coil Strat needs...

I'm going to say it at my own Boogie Board peril

LOL! I feel your pain (and love every bit of it too!...uhm...Dr. Freud?). Versatile is just too short of a word for the Lone Star...and changes it's tune quicker than any politician I know of...and more easily persuaded by other influences (well...maybe that eliminates the politician comment)...

Lone Star Classic Combo Caster Question

Update to Situation: Well, the Mesa casters came in and what do you know...they slide in just like they should. No hesitation when the center of the caster meets the keeper button. I almost dislocated my shoulder trying to slide the darn thing in expecting the resistance of the 'non-Mesa'...

Lone Star Classic Combo Caster Question

Thanks for all the help and pictures. I wound up taking the casters back to where I purchased them from. They simply would slide in as far as the button, but no further than that. The really odd part is that I could always remove the caster, just not advance it. The one thing I did notice...

Lone Star Classic Combo Caster Question

Thanks for the pix! That certainly helps as I can now see that the casters you use have the same type of indentation where the wheel swivels from as I had purchased. I guess I'm just not forcing the caster into the channel hard enough. Time to man-up and give it another go. What's the worst...

    Lonestar on/off question

I agree with how felix vampiro has stated it. I have always treated my tube amps that way. BTW...I am a recent owner of a LSC 1X12 combo and it is the absolute most amazing tube amp I've ever had. This is the first time in nearly 40 years that someone came up to me after a gig and...

Lone Star Classic Combo Caster Question

Well, I've found casters that have the right diameter of the plate that slides into the channels of the base plates. The top of the caster has a depression where the bearing for the wheel is. When I put that caster into the channel of the base plate on the amp, it slides in over the...

Lone Star Classic Combo Caster Question

I am a recent owner of a used Lone Star Classic Combo. Man is this thing heavy! I've searched for where they've hid the lead, but have been unable to locate it. My LSC came with the Track-lok tracks installed on the bottom of the amp, but not with the casters themselves. I have no clue what...
