TC-50 fixed and sounding just as good as new

Thanks for the input mace. Where would you say your channel Master and output are set? I can certainly get guitar feedback on my RA-100 if i push the HI channel gain past 2 oclock, but it is much louder overall before I get to that point. It just seems quite low/early on the TC-50.

TC-50 fixed and sounding just as good as new

Old thread but I was hoping bandit2013 might chime in on a question or issue I’m having with my TC-50 specific to HI channel gain levels and feedback. I can’t put the gain past 1:30/2:00 without unbearable feedback from a few different guitars. And this isn’t at very high volume levels...

blue angel pop when taken off standby

Can't offer any answers but my Subway Blues has always done the same thing. Scratchy volume pot too, despite using pot cleaner spray...

    Which Boogie

Yeah but the Tremoverb has a whole MODE dedicated to it... :) But the Lonestar's cleans are much nicer.

    Any Boogies that'll give me a Vox AC30 tone/vibe?

The Subway Blues is another non master mesa that seems to be cut from the same cloth as the Blue Angel. I found the Subway gets the Vox sound a bit better, but it maybe because it's pushed easier. These amps will get you into some VoxISH tones, but as previously stated, there's nothing like the...

Anyone own or tried the Stiletto Ace yet???

This all sounds pretty good guys. I've found a dealer(a bit of a drive...) that has one of the 2x12's and I'll hopefully trying one out myself soon. Thanks for the help and comments.

Anyone own or tried the Stiletto Ace yet???

My local GC has yet to get any of these. There are only 2 reviews on Harmony Central(both excellent) and I've read only one other pretty glowing review on another forum. I'm dying to try one. Anyone had any experience with them yet or know anything more than what Mesa's site says about it?

    Tremoverb or 2 chan DR?

The Tremoverb can cover alot of ground and I think it will do well for the stuff you're playing. Many owners say that the Tremo is a darker sounding amp than the Dual Rectifier. Having owned both (and still the Tremo), I agree. And I doubt you'll be wishing for more gain when needed. Also the...

    Any Subway Blues Fans Here?

I am definitely a fan of the Subway Blues and the Rocket as well. I love the voxy thing it can do if you push it. Better than the Blue Angel for that IMO, but I haven't spent as much time with the Angel. For recording or late night playing it's great and it's got the 1/2 power option. It...

    The Foo's & Mesa

I saw your much newer post after I posted :D Kinda makes me wonder when Mesa is going to come out with the Voxifier. May have to start a new thread...

    The Foo's & Mesa

That's interesting. GuitarGeek.com shows an older rig with Dual Rectifiers and Vox AC30's. And the last I checked the official Foo Fighters site it showed only Road Kings. Now it says currently just Rectifiers. I have an old Mesa catolog that shows Dave sitting on a Blue Angel I believe.

What small combo for Rectifier sound

++ 1 for one of my favorite Boogies, the SUBWAY ROCKET !!! The preamp section is based on the Recto. I've had and still have many Mesas(big and small) and the Rocket has always been one of my favorites. Low volume - YES. You can do very low volume and even recorded it gets some very beautiful...
