SOLD Mark V Head and Cab

I have a Mesa Boogie Mark V amp head and 1x12 Mesa Wide body closed back cabinet in excellent condition for sale. Includes the foot switch and cable, original covers for each, ten extra tubes (two matched pairs of Mesa 6L6, two matched pairs of Mesa EL34 and two Mesa 12AX7's). The transferable...

    mark V footswitch troubleshooting.

I can't remember if it was a Mark V issue or another amp but I recall reading about an EFX loop having problems due to input jacks. The way I recall the story was to spray contact cleaner on the plug and run it in and out of the jacks. There was also mention of running a jumper from the input to...

Mark V combo is just too heavy.

I pushed 60 long enough I decided to be 60 last month. I also have a back that goes out at times. I have a head and cab because the combo was just to heavy to contemplate moving. I don't play out and my gear hangs out in the music room. Still whenever I have to move gear it requires being very...

Low volume compared to other amps of same wattage

One of the things about the Mark V that took a while to sink into my head is don't try dialing it in like I would any other amp, including other Boogies. I like my settings and don't change them often. When I start thinking one of the channels needs something different the first thing I do is...

WTB : Mesa Boogie Mark V Head

Welcome! There's a lot of Boogie happening here. Where are you located? I have a head and 1x12 Thiele cab that was originally purchased from the local Oregon dealer in June of 2010. It's definitely not post-2010. It is however in excellent condition and available for a local deal. It's more than...

    Mmmmm..Mark I mode

I like the Mk I channel also. Current setting are Mark I Normal with G 11:00, M 12:00, P 11:30, T 1:30, M 12:00, B 8:00, EQ on and off using presets at 9:00. I use the 45 watt mode for Ch.2, Variac Power and tube rectified. Output is 10:00 with Solo at 11:00. Sometimes add boost or...

    I love my lonestar!

I recently got a good deal on a LSC v2 head. I'm still in the honeymoon phase but the only complaint I have is that it's the 27 inch rather than the 23. It's a great compliment to my Mark V and they sound great in stereo. Now back to the playing. :D

Mark V weird problem Please help

I'm going to throw out a wild guess; try replacing the rectifier tube. A wild guess because watching the video it sounded more pronounced when you were close to the rectifier tube. I think that the tube doesn't have to work so hard in the Variac setting. Does it make a difference if you have all...

    Power tube rattle in Express 5:50 1 X 12

No real answers but a story. I got a 5:50 1x12 back when they first came out. There was a IIRC a rattle I heard after getting it home. I didn't hear it in the store I think because of the noise level difference between there and the house. Rattling sounds drive me nuts. I called Mesa and they...

    I want a Lunchbox Dyne

If votes are being taken and counted I'll add mine. If I make it to my next birthday I'll be 60. The ED head weighs the same as my M5 head. I've worked road construction for 45 years and my back feels it. Something lighter with ED character would be great.

The thing I love the most about my Mark V......

Thanks purpledc for writing that so I didn't have to. I brought mine home three times before it finally stayed. The third time was after doing a bunch more research in setting the controls rather than just turning knobs and hoping for the best. So the thing I love the most about my Mark V is I...
