Original Mesa Traditional 4x12 Straight Cab Speakers

Yup, that's a rare MESA 4x12" (straight front but slant baffle). I seen those in MESA catalogs but it was a short run of enclosures.

Attemp to make my Roadking sound like a Marshall!

Okay, I appreciate your post. Sounds fairly JCM800. Great, you dial your Road King to sound like a Marshall. I guess members here too loyal to their Boogies that any other amp brand on your subject line sneer upon. I don't know.

    Maverick weight

Heavier than most amp its size. I have Maverick 2x12 combo and its heavier than my Vox AC30. For me, its MESA finest no-nonsense blues amp. You have option of selecting tube rectifier or solid state rectifier unlike its predecessor which has rectifier switching (when you select your power...

    PRS SANTANA HUMBUCKERS

I'm not sure what PRS pickups uses on the Santana model. Your guess (Google search) is good as mine. But I do suggest staying with PRS pickups easy to wire on the PC board mounting switch compared to aftermarket pickups. I installed Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates and was getting an out-phase-tone...

MkIIC+ Preamp clipping distortion, troubleshooting tips?

I don't know if what you experience is what I experience with my friend's Zinky amp. I was playing a 4x12" with four 16 ohm Celetion Vintage 30s speakers wired in parallel - series for a 16 ohm load. We got this fizzy distortion. The setting on the Zinky was 16 ohm load. So I wired the 4x12...

    Mk IIB lead channel question

I'm not sure if I could answer your question but I would like to mentioned Mark I, II uses "cascading gain". The lead channel uses the gain (preamp tube) from the "rhythm channel". The lead channel is not independent from the "Rhythm Channel".

TV Jones Pickups on a Gretch

Yup, I prefer the stock Filtertron too. For the record the TV Jones is "Magnatron" so not sure how the other TV Jones compared. For my taste the TV Jones was too clean, bright but Filtertron was more Gretsch like how I prefer them. I too want a Gretsch but can't afford "White Falcon" or "Chet...
