It was for a Mesa head amp. And yes how do they lose it? I think it might have looked valuable and someone snatched it. It was built in 2012 by a company called Xcases who I can not find anywhere.
Danged if UPS lost my flight case. Thank god the amp wasn't in it, just some fragile stuff to be shipped (tubes etc). The company that made it is out of business and I am not having much luck on the web finding a replacement. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
Hey I am pretty impressed with that "IIc impersonator pedal" clip https://soundcloud.com/goforthsound/mark-iic-cleaned-up
I can't seem to find the manufacturer or company etc. Can you give me any more information on the pedal etc?
I'll make this succinct as possible. My World beat band (Santana-Marley-War) I use a Mesa Mark II but often times run a Fulldrive III into the clean channel with the Mesa' pre-amp on 7. It makes for a faster set up and I don't need to do the 4 cable set up to the effects loop. I use the OD...
My main concern is if there is enough clean head room. I noticed the Mesa demo had the amp on 5 or louder on the Master volume. I can get enough clean head room out of a Fender Deluxe Reverb RI at about 3-3 1/2. If the Fillmore can compete with that db level I will be very interested.
When I do my rockabilly, swamp blues, surf oriented trio, my Deluxe RI is invariably at 3-3 1/4. That provides enough head room for me and then I smack it with a light OD pedal. I noticed that the official demo from Boogie had the Filmore 25 pretty much half way up with the pre and master...
I sent in my Mark IIC+ for a refurb and asked Mike B. if could bring up the level of the reverb. He did and it is great now!!! I am so used to using digital reverbs in the effects loop for more control, but if I have to do a fast "get your arse on and quickly get your arse off the stage gig, I...
I've had at least 3 Mark IIC+'s but I've held on to the least equipped version. 100 Watts, Reverb (No EQ, no Simulclass). It just has a quality to it that I have yet to match with any other amp. I bought it in a pawn shop in Spokane WA for $400.00 around the year 2000. It was a beat up combo...
The effects loop in the Mark IIC+ and the Mark III are decent. I run my Mark IIC+ with an old Alesis Micro Reverb II. It sounds fantastic and you can control way more than the one-knob reverb on the Mesa.
I can't stand that stock speaker either. I don't have the 50 caliber but I do have the 22 caliber. I bought a Eminence Canibus Rex and it smoothed those rough edges you are talking about completely away. Cheap fix.

Here is my odd duck find: an 80's era Mesa Studio .22 + that from what I can tell came custom ordered with Mesa's $$$ Hardwood cabinet!!! Snatched it for $500. I thought if anything I may throw my Mesa Mark IIC+ in the cab but I never...
I've owned three of the various Studio 22s. I still have one for gigs where I need to behave myself volume wise. Just stick any great OD pedal in front of the clean channel. Experiment with bringing up the pre-volume with the pedal of choice. It is a great low volume amp with plenty of punch...
It is the best of the effects loops of the Mark II's but still has a couple of issues. No matter what you put in the loop, your will have a drop in volume and perhaps a bit of tone. However you have more than ample volume to compensate. The loop works better with some units than others so you...
I went with the Reignmaker. It really works great with the Studio Caliber, it leans a bit more on the Marshall/Celestion vibe but I also have my Fender Deluxe RI with the Maverick if I want the American vibe. I dang near ran both of them at the same time but the on/off switch on the Mesa broke...
