    More Mods For Those Interested

There is still a nice mod to improve tone and reduce ice pick highs. You got to tweak with ice pick capacitor, that’s the one linked between V5 plates. It only acts on the final stage of the amplifier (to be precise on presence control), and it ‘s a common mod on Marshall amplifier. On our...

More mods for Stiletto Ace...Here you go.

Hi Isaac, first of all thanks so much for your efforts and job to improve this amp. I’ve learned so much about Mesa amplifier working on my old Mark III blue stripes, that after several mods it became a IIIc+ with indipendent volume control for crunch channel and indipent volume control (first...

    Mesa 2x12" rectifier vertical question

Hi all! I would like to know if anyone owns a vertical 2x12" rectifier cab and if a recto head fits well on the top of it.

    Tremoverb clean channel HUM

It has the 561141 PT. It has 5 voltage input ( 100,117, 220,230,240) it's the export version. Do you think this hum only in the clean channel can be caused by the PT?

    Tremoverb clean channel HUM

Hi all! I've recently bought my first rectifier, and it's a beautiful Tremoverb. I'm a Mark IIIc+ owner too, so I was searching for a rectifier sound and I believe I've found one of the best rectifier sound mesa ever produced. I've noticed that clean channel as a slight hum ( it obviouly...

    mesa mark knobs

Hi anyone! I would like to buy some new knobs for my mark III. I'd like to buy the little one (like the ones on the back of the chassis for reverb, presence, etc...) , does anyone know where i can find them? I don't want to buy from tube amp doctor, they are too much expensive ( about 13$ for a...

    MK V wish list

NO way...mark tone is the best tone available for crunchy and lead sound. I wish only it has a super reverb, and a better switching control ( at least my mark III is more user friendly than a mark IV)... I don't care about another channel....3 is the perfect number... Clean, crunch, heavy lead...

Separate Volume1 for Lead channel (Mark IIC+)

I'm sure you misunderstood me,.. First of all in one of my previous post on this thread I've just admitted how helpful were people like you and all old members, and above all this board for its existence. Without it I would have never been able to do some repair on my amp, or to learn so much...

Separate Volume1 for Lead channel (Mark IIC+)

I respect his decision to not post info about cause this switching matrix is his own "intellectual property", but i disagree his attempt to make here his commercial promos... "So if you would like a mod performed on your IIC+, such as: - JP lead volume1 mod - JP/Hetfield mod - MarkIV B lead...

Separate Volume1 for Lead channel (Mark IIC+)

Well...i don't believe this magic hype or genius about modding a mesa amp with a dual vol1 .... first of all because this is a real function of newer mark IV....and SLO 100 are also strictly similar... the real problem is not where installing those new VTLC5/2 but where stealing the current to...

Separate Volume1 for Lead channel (Mark IIC+)

I agree all parts of your writings except one. It's right and honest to not ask you schematics about your own creation, cause they're your own intellectual property, but you shouldn't publish here commercial promos about your works... You'd better publish only info about your incoming site...

Separate Volume1 for Lead channel (Mark IIC+)

I've sent you a PM, please if you can answer me, i've made the same mod on my Mark IIIC+ but with a dual channel relay, it would be nice to know how it works with an optocoupler (i wasn't able to make it works with it!!)! I hope you'll be so kind to answer me!

    Mark III indipendent lead/crunch gain

Infact my attempt is to put two pots in series, and adding the last pot for lead/crunch only when lead is switched, using pre existent current draw for lead and crunch octocouplers (and of course af shown on schematic adding a new LDR). If volume1 is reduced, a new pot put in series should be...
