I am going to have to order online and won't get to try the cab in person - which is a bummer, but the downside of rural life :-) I am downsizing the rig for my quad to a 1x12 and can't decide which cabinet is best. Tones stay close to the hard rock realm for me....Ranging from Steve Stevens...

At the risk of being scolded and feeling like a total moron... I realized that I hadn;t flipped the ground lift switch and flipped and lifted the circuit and the hum is gone.. I feel :oops: :oops: :oops:

As mentioned in another thread, I am borrowing a Quad for a bit to see if it is my thing... I hooked it up tonight with my tubeworks 50 watt stereo power amp and furman and noticed that with the volume above 3-4, there is a huge hum from hell. It will go away when the amp is on standby...

I will download the manual as soon as I get home - I should have though to look online... For the link that leads to James' rack - what would the equivalent channel be on the Quad? Rhythm 2??? Thanks again for the links, it should be a fun weekend. Zach

The Barber is a nice unit, but I like my analogman comp a little better. I think it has a bit more clarity and keeps the tone a bit "closer" to the original. Zach
