    Roadster lag fix

This is good to know for sure. I've still been struggling with "is my amp going to die" stress during gigs and practices since last summer! Guess I need to take it into my local MESA tech and tell him the specifics I've read here and on the other topic here...

Roadster with a G-System.. How do I get the best overdrive?

I've since found resolution to this question- Apparently the G-System is fully capable of controlling the channels in my Roadster. It's not necessarily the most important thing to me to have the G-system, I'm just looking to eliminate all of the tap dancing and mucky muck currently on the floor...

Roadster with a G-System.. How do I get the best overdrive?

Hey all, I'm thinking about a G-System to go with my roadster. This would be awesome, but is also problematic from what I can tell- I don't want to have to tap dance, and I want to be able to use the clean and distorted channels that are stock with the Roadster. The G-System can't control the...

Mesa Roadster vs Mesa Mark V.. Upgrade?

That sounds right on time, except that the particular Mills cab I want has the Black Label custom speakers in it.. The cab is rated at 1200 watts, if the stories be true haha. Look at this link and you'll see what I'm looking at. http://millsacoustics.com/412Bevm.html

Mesa Roadster vs Mesa Mark V.. Upgrade?

That's some good insight. Thanks guys! I'm also looking at getting one of these Mills Acoustics cabs. A mark V would look pretty epic sitting on top of this thing! Leads me to another question.. If I got the Black Label 1200 watt Mills cab, maybe 2 of em even.. would the V have any trouble...

Mesa Roadster vs Mesa Mark V.. Upgrade?

Hey guys, I was thinking about trading in my Roadster for a Mark V.. I've had trouble in the past with my roadster, and have been itching to shop for something new. Anybody have any suggestions about how these amps compare? I play progressive metal.. high gains, clear cleans and use the fx loop...

Should I trade my ROADSTER for an ENGL POWERBALL II? Say no.

All I want is an amp with great tone, balls, and is reliable. My Roadster has given me great tone, but a whole lot of troubleshooting and grief as well. Every time I get on stage, I have anxiety that it's going to blow up, or overheat, or short out, or whatever. I don't WANT to shop for other...

    Is my ROADSTER overheating?

I've always liked the bold setting better, cause I play metal.. The gain seems a bit tighter. Maybe at the right volume spongy would work just as well. It's worth a try I guess! My master volume is usually between 3 and 5. 5 is pretty loud, I know. I don't see any reason why a MESA shouldn't...

    Is my ROADSTER overheating?

Sigh. I don't hate the amp, I totally love the tone. I just don't feel safe with it in the least, at this point. It's not acting reliable at all!

    Is my ROADSTER overheating?

Hmmm.. Ok then! I'm just glad I'm not the only on who's experiencing the issue, I guess. I was thinking maybe I had a factory defect model or something! It just sucked pretty bad, it was a huge show for us (opening for DISTURBED and AVENGED SEVENFOLD) and all of a sudden I sounded like I had...

    Is my ROADSTER overheating?

This thing gets hot. WAY hot. I've had this happen before in my practice space, where I'll be really pushing it, and it just starts shorting out until there's no sound. I can stop playing for a few seconds, then it will come back in in spurts. Yesterday I played an outdoor gig. My Roadster sat...

My Roadster is squishy, temperamental, and noisy. Advice?

I just checked out their site. These cabs are sick! Look at the Afterburner 412B-EVM Black Label edition.. SO AWESOME haha http://millsacoustics.com/models.html

My Roadster is squishy, temperamental, and noisy. Advice?

OK! The truth is out. I play really loud- but I think you are right, in that a full stack may be the answer. I crank my rig up now, because it's right next to the drum stage, our PA system is 10 feet tall behind that, and the bassist plays through a 6' tall AMPEG rig on the other side of the...

I play metal with my ROADSTER. EL34 or 6L6 tubes?

Seems to be a divisive issue we're dealing with here! Now I don't know who to trust.

My Roadster is squishy, temperamental, and noisy. Advice?

Man. You're just full of useful information. I'm gonna screw around with some new settings and get some EL-34's for starters. I hate pedal dancing for sure, so I'll see if I can get the right sound the natural way based on what you've said. Cause honestly, at band practice we play LOUD haha...
