Mesa Mini Rectifier Slant Cab speaker suggestions

Hi all, Has anyone gone with a different speaker in their mini rectifier 1X12 cab? I am wanting to replace the stock speaker that is in my Mini Rectifier Slant cab. I use this speaker cab with both a Mark Five 25 and a Mini Rectifier and I'm just looking for a speaker that will get rid of some...

I wish this was an easier choice...

Well, I decided on getting the widebody closed back. I ordered it today, should show up in a few days! Thanks to both of you, for your help.

I wish this was an easier choice...

Thank you both for the replies Mark and Eevil. I took a listen to your video Mark and it sounds pretty good! I know you've done the AT7 mod, which may affect the sound of the C90 a little bit, but it sounds like there is plenty of chug in there to me. I was surprised to not find any videos that...

I wish this was an easier choice...

I'm looking for some opinions on a couple of 1x12 cabinets. Im stuck on deciding between the recto 1x12 (not the mini recto) and the widebody closed back. I just can't find any online demos of the widebody cab. I would like a 1x12, because the 2x12 is a pain in the *** to transport (heavy) and...

Silent practice and recording with the V:25

Have you tried plugging your headphones into the back of your amp? I be interested to know if your signal is louder through the headphones that way. I have those same headphones and when I plug them into the Mark V25 I have to crank the volume to about 2:00 to get a good comfortable listening...

    question to Mark V-25 owners

I guess one of the issues may be on the clean channel. Not sure if you have any clean passages in your music, but at band volumes, my clean channel has a bit of power tube distortion in it. I don't mind it at all, but if you need a perfectly clean sound you might be disappointed.

    Mark V 25 headphone out

I would have to agree that the headphone out could use about 10 more db. I have some KRK 8400's and it's impossible to get a clean tone with any headroom because I have to crank the volume to about 2-3:00 to get a decent volume. I have a cheap headphone amp, I'll give that a shot.

First Boogie. First Thread. Mark V 25 review (yes another!)

I was considering having the footswitch bag sewed onto the side of the cover. Now if I could just find that needle.

OK thanks man, guess i need to try some spare tubes out in V1 and V2 and see if that makes a difference.

MARK FIVE 25 TONE SETTINGS THREAD

Thanks Elvis! I definitely notice the noise more when playing at lower bedroom volumes. At those levels(maybe like a loud TV), if I let a chord ring out, I can start to hear the background noise. At higher volumes, the guitar seems to cover up the noise better. I find it interesting that I can...

MARK FIVE 25 TONE SETTINGS THREAD

Hi, So I just wanted to try and get this thread going a little more. I've only had the amp since yesterday, but I am loving this thing! I play mostly metal. Here are my current settings for Fat mode on Channel 1 and Mark IV mode for channel 2. I've noticed this amp is a bit more noisy than my...
