Yes there is the "Off" position between "Full Power" and "Variac" but the "Standby" is recomended when turning the amp off to let the tubes warm up before playing and cool off after playing so by default you are turning the amp "Off" to switch from one to the other. So I use and recomend using...

Yep.... The big RC earthquakes. Mark 5, cabinets and the EQ section went down. My studio monitors stayed up on their stands. I took them down before the big one on the 5th of July. Even my Marshall head on top of the 2x12 cab went down. But no problems. But it spit all my CDs on the floor. I...

Well my Mark V was abused earthquakes. It fell about 5 feet along with the cabinets it was sitting on. Not a scratch, fired up and has been working fine since July when the earthquakes hit.

I try to replace my tubes at least once every two years. I also have a tube tester. I do not test the tubes to see if there is a tube that needs to be replaced. I replace all the tubes. I then test all the old tubes. If there is one that looks weak I'll put it in a bag with the other weak tubes...

For those of us with a warm spot for the tube driven monsters there may be hope. With all these amp emulators coming out the prices of the old tube amps may drop..... LOL....yea..right. :lol:

It is my studio/practice rig. I don't run in 10 watt mode. I run on 90 watt. Turn the channel Master down to just below 9am. then adjust the Output. The amp can operate at very low volume levels.
