No problems getting a nice sound here I just set my pick up to the neck position on my Les Paul and away I go. Sometimes I use the solo button on the pedal but if I am just jamming with a bassist there usually is no need.

I bought my triple for the same price as a dual. I am glad I did though because I really like the extra headroom, sucks when I have to change the tubes out though hehe.

Def take it to a good Tech. With strings that heavy the Nut will even need work and Grovers are pretty much the best tuners I have used. I play metal and have used nothing but Les Pauls since 1994.
