Wanted Five Band Graphic EQ Pedal

I snatched couple up before Covid, but they are nigh unobtainable nowadays, no one wants to sell them. I've seen only one within the last year. On a side note, I bet Gib$on could make a nice profit if they released a small batch or two of them.

Dual Recto - Rev. G to Rev. F Conversation Help.

hope I'm not necro-ing. you want to start with the gain control circuit between the V1a and V2a as shown on the Rev F schem. I do not know of a specific schem that shows the differences, but working from memory, there's adding 2.2meg resistor to ground coming right off the coupling cap from the...

Dialing In A Mesa Mark V

The way the EQ is designed, the slider frequencies are not isolated from each other so adjusting one will affect others to some degree.

    For Sale Dual Rectifier 3ch

yes very simple to mod the loop, it will take a competent tech way more time to remove and reinstall the chassis than it will to complete the actual mod

Should Mesa Boogie reissue the Mark IIC+ ?

If that's their official stance I call BS. Wire wrapped around iron, that's all you need. Even if they can't use some specific material, they can create something adequate using modern techniques, even if it's not 100% identical down to the molecule.

Should Mesa Boogie reissue the Mark IIC+ ?

If I were to guess, there could be some IP tied to the original transformer designs which doesn't belong to Mesa, and either the owner's price isn't being met, or collaborating companies had some sort of falling out. I can't think of one other component that couldn't be sourced today with...

MESA BOOGIE POWER TUBES NOT MATCHED AT ALL !

    What color code(s) are they?

Dumb question, but why does it feel like Recto's "Need" a boost or OD to sound best?

I remember reading way back when that they were going for a medium-gain rock / blues sound, and it was a complete accident that it caught on for tha brootz. One thing they did was include resistors inline with the cathode bypass caps which reduces gain from the original SLO design. They also...

Single Rectifier Series 2 tighter gain mods?

There is a coupling cap and 2 bright caps in the lead gain circuit feeding into and paralleling the gain pot, I would recommend changing those accordingly if you like the overall freq response of the gain. if you don't change them, it will add more low mids and bass. that isn't a bad thing of...

The REAL output of a Mark V/90

I would guess that most speakers are conservatively rated in terms of power handling, and with the thousands of Mark V's with 90W speakers, there haven't been widespread issues. I would guess that pushing the power section into distortion caused some other transients that spiked output enough...

    Mark IIC+ opinions

I would say $3k would be the low limit, and that is pretty low for any IIC+. I have the same amp and haven't seen one go for less than that since pre-Covid., but if anyone else has links to lower listings, please share. It's harder to put an upper limit since that seems to be a lot less...

Mark II with and without EQ, are they voiced differently?

No voicing differences I've seen from the various schems I've studied, but the EQ circuit does load down the signal differently and that can have an overall affect on tone / freq response.
