    New ElectraDyne released by Mesa

I agree. The ED sounds better with a C90. I also have a Boger 2x12 loaded with a greenback and a creamback.. Sounds pretty good with that too. The ED sounds good with single coils as well.

    Electra Dyne Low Gain Tones

I am an ED owner and recently tested the TC-50. I liked the amp and love all the features of the amp. I was not able to get THAT ED tone from it though. I do think, like in this video that testing it with 6L6's will help quite a bit. I have an opportunity to do so just haven't found the time...

    Got one

I agree. I am an ED owner and was hoping that the TC-50's Lo Gain channel would more like the ED's blue channel, but as you mentioned it didn't really hit the mark. (not thats what they were going for).. I could not dial the fizzle out of the TC's low gain channel. The tight switch helped but...

Lonestar 2.0, will it ever happen?

They just did. Its called the TC-50.. They were able to get alot of tones in the TC-50. The problem is, it is not the Lone Star clean. Its good, its really good but not the LS. Of course this was with EL-34's.. I wanted to love the TC-50 but I ended up playing the LS the whole time. :-)

Can Mark V 35 do Lone star clean??

IMO, not even close. Obviously the tubes have alot to do with it. If you want a warm amp Lone Star it is. I played one last week and I am REALLY wanting to get one. Wish it had more features like the MV35 but that warm tone in both the clean and drive channel sound amazing to my ears.

TC compared to Royal Atlantic- Similar?

I was able to try out the TC-50 last week. My thoughts: Amazing cleans, Not quite Lone Star but more JP cleans. Great reverb!! Low gain - This section covers ALOT of ground. From low again Electra Dyne ( but not as good IMO) to very heavy gain. High gain - Again very flexible. Cool how you...

1x12 extension cab - open, closed, 3/4, or ported?

I have the ED head. I have both the open back 1x12 with the Black Shadow + a 2x12 horizontal cab with V30's.. Talk about the best of both worlds!! It sounds amazing. I agree with Elvis about the vertical cab but you get a ton of low end BOOM with a horizontal cab sitting on the floor.

    [video] Electra Dyne tones

Sounds great! Thanks for sharing. Howd you get that high gain sound from the 2nd track? My red channel doesnt sound like that... I think I need new tubes.. :-)

    Mullards?

I love my pre amp Tung Sol's. Not a huge difference but noticeable. I might have to do Power Tubes soon. I need a change.

    Cab Clone Recording - ED

Finally got a recording done yesterday. Electra Dyne clean w/ Mobius Chorus - Rhythm track Electra Dyne Blue w/ TimeLine, Mojo Vibe and Wah - Lead track Bass and drums via GarageBand. Out of the Cab Clone into and Apogee One into GarageBand. Very happy with the sound. The lead was clipping a...

    Reverb Pedals

Sold my HOF months ago and now a BlueSky guy. I am addicted to Strymon!!

    Strymon Deco

First of all I am a huge pedal geek. Swapping pedals all of the time. I am a huge fan of Strymon's gear as I own a Blue Sky, TimeLine, Mobius and now the Deco. The Deco is a huge win for me. The analog tape simulation is amazing. It gives you that perfect boost/saturation that I need. It is an...
