    Rectoverb 25 REVIEW

I thought the original MR was going to be my last amp for a while. I heard that they added reverb, which is nice, but I don't use a lot and when I do, it's outboard....but they made it look my trem-o-verb...and the knobs aren't backwards from what I played for almost 20 years..I'm rationalizing...

    Problem With My Mini Rec

 I can help you with your dilemma. Take your most transparent sounding OD pedal, turn the gain down, run it through the loop and use it as a solo boost! You're welcome!

Anybody re-tube a new Mini Rectifier?

Yeah, that's important to know.(I have no idea, but I'm using the stock tubes for the time being.) If this is the case GibsonVO5 might want to change that V3 out.

Mini Rec Cab - Straight or Slanted?

If you are using it mic'ed up, the 112 will do just fine, I don't think strait vs. slanted makes much difference, (mine is slanted and I love it.) If you are not using it mic'ed up often, I would recommend at least a 2x12. FWIW, the slanted 1x12 looks killer.

Solo jump on old 2-channel recto?

Tube Screamers have a very distinct sound that puts a lot of midrange color in your tone. To me they sound boxy and lifeless. Compressors also seem to suck the life out of a tone. If you like the tone you have, and just need a volume jump, get a clean boost in the loop (BBE makes one call...

Mini Rec and Used Dual Rec same price...

If you have a loud drummer, no monitors and/or individual monitor mix on stage and you rely of your stage volume to hear yourself, and you are playing large venues, then yes, the 100W head is for you. I have both a 100w trem o verb and the mini. I doubt I will ever have the need to carry the...

    Blue!

I'm jealous. Must have. Did you have to get a dealer to order it for you or can you order it direct? How much did it cost?

    Question for Mini Rec Owners..

If I'm not mistaken, a boost will not work in front of the amp on channel 2. It must go in the loop. (I may be wrong on this, because my old trem O verb is staged this way, but I could have sworn I tried it out with the MR.) i used a boss blues driver with the gain set low as a lead boost for...

Mini Rec vs. Rectoverb Series 2 - clean tone

I think the EL84s give the mini a clean sound that is better than any of the dual recs, but yes it does break up some at ridiculously high volumes. I recommend lower stage volumes and a good monitor. Try it, your audience will thank you.

1x12 vs. 2x12 recto cab for MR

If you are playing out a lot you should try them mic'ed up. I found that the punch you get from the bigger cabs don't translate when you have a cardioid mic placed directly in front of one of the speakers. The audience shouldn't hear your stage volume (if you're doing it right.) and even if you...

Dual Rec vs. Single Rec vs. Mini Rec

If you don't require 100w, definitely go with the mini over the single Rec. I had a single Rec combo and I traded it in on the mini. The mini is more portable and sounds better.

Need a big brother for a mini rec

The best sounding bands I hear have low stage volumes. I've got a 100w tremoverb head and 4x12 cab and the mini has been the answer to my prayers. I was tired of lugging the big rig around and spending my night trying to control stage volume. Plus the mini turned up sounds better than the 100w...

    Lusting after Mini Rec

My favorite mini metal tone is mids all the way up the highs all the way down, presence at 12:00, then use the bass as needed. You wouldn't think it would sound good, but it does. Are you using the boost in the loop?

    Roadster 2x12 vs. Rectifier 2x12

This is a comparison of the recto vs. road king cab. After a quick forum search, I did not see where anyone on the forum has compared the recto and roadster 2x12s side by side. (I could be wrong, my search was brief. I do have a job as well as a new mini rec to play with! !) They are...

    Lusting after Mini Rec

The pushed setting, IMO, only sounds good when the master is turned up all the way. But when you push it hard enough to get the power section overdrive it is freakin' loud! Even at 10w......but man it sounds good.
