Anyone replace their IIc+ with a Mark V?

Thanks, I'll definitely be careful before trying to use it again. At least going as far as looking up the capacitors.

Anyone replace their IIc+ with a Mark V?

Thanks El Ray. I've got no doubt about your assessment of tech repair places that don't know or don't care what they're doing. This level of accepted incompetence these days is amazing. My Mk4 has been used very little and at this point just sits in a closet. One day when I try using it...

Anyone replace their IIc+ with a Mark V?

And speaking of great amps, I bought a transatlantic 15w lunchbox amp a little while ago and so far there's nothing about that amp I don't like. And I seem to excell in finding things I don't like.

Lol, I've had that same immense frustration. Moderators, are you listening?

Anyone replace their IIc+ with a Mark V?

I've got one of the last Mk4 combos available. Would I be missing something if I didn't try to have Mike Bendinelli do whatever it is he does? What does he do? How would I reach him? Thanks from an ignoramous.

Mark V 25 bedroom practice - loving my master volume control

Thank you! I'm always curious about ways to manage how the sound comes out. I'll take the time to absorb (maybe it's just late here now?) what you've said. I appreciate the time you took.

You should be one of their salespeople! Which pedal are you talking about? You've raised my interest.

    Awesome Tone at Lower Volume

I might be, and probably am, missing the point but the first thing that came to mind for me was perpetual motion and more or less how energy works. Adding a 50w speaker, for example, to replace a speaker rated at lower wattage isn't going to result in a louder sound in any way I can imagine...

Made my own wicker grill for a Mark V:25

DIY if you can't find what you want. I like that approach!

    Boogie mk iv

Lol, one of these days I'm going to have to get my Mk4 back out and set it up. I bought it new, one of the last. I used it for one very short gig before getting enthralled with how an Egnator sounded. It's now been sitting in almost unused condition for close to two decades. I'm back to Mesa...

That makes sense. Somehow the way things looked in the photo seemed to me to be tucked away pretty far into the back of the amp. Wouldn't make sense that way and I was thinking there was pretty obviously something else going on.

I've got a Mk4 and am too lazy right now to dig it out and take a look, but do you need to reach all the way into the amp to plug the footswitch in?

    Transatlantic 15 tube suggestions?

I've picked up a TA-15 and since I've started playing it I've been wondering about trying different tubes in it. I'm surprised to say this buut as a former "holy grail of tone" quester I've changed and haven't even checked to see if the tubes I've got in it are original. Regardless, I'd love...
