Get rid of the celestions.
Seriously... Celestion speakers are popular hence, people demand them but Eminence and EV's kill them. I'm running an Oversized 212 with EVM-12L's and even though they're a more "hi-fi" sounding speaker with more presence and clarity than a vintage 30 they sound...
My 100w Superlead I'm currently playing/modding is one I built and it's in the middle of having powerscaling installed. I'm just working out the details before I tear back into it.
I tweaked the circuit quite a bit to help me get great crunchy tones at sane volumes but it's still really...
The last Marshall I owned that was an actual Marshall and not one I built was my '74 JMP. It was loaded with 6550's and didn't have a MV. At power tube clipping dB's you couldn't even tell if the dimed RoadKing I had was even on. The Marshall would totally drown it out.
I just got this but I'm just not bonding with it. It's got a short headshell with Silver piping which IMO looks way better than all black.
Everything works fine and there's about 4 years of warranty left. I've got all the paperwork and cables/footswitch etc. It'll ship in its original box...
Depending on the mods and condition that SL is probably worth a grand tops. The mid to late 70's JMP's aren't all that valuable but they're fairly cool amps. It's not going to be like a JCM-800.
If you're wanting to dabble in the British tones I have an Electradyne I'm most likely going to...
I need an unloaded 112 or 212 cab. Preferably a Thiele or a nice compact open back or 3/4 back.
I've got a more or less mint mini amp gizmo and the Mark V cable I'll trade. We can work out any inequities in value. PM me if you're interested.
Sure it can... You just build it with an internal bulkhead that restricts the internal dimensions to the specs laid out by EV. Lots of people do it that way.
