I know there are several revisions to the Dual Rectifier amps but are there any revisions of the Solo 50? If there are, what are they? Thanks!

Yes you need a preamp... Something like a Triaxis, ADA MP-1, Marshall JMP-1, Axe Fx etc... This is strictly the power side.
