Lonestar Special 2x12 combo Nomad 45 1x12 combo,...I thought/figured on selling the Nomad when I got the LSS,.but I still like it!

Well,All I have are two Strats. All the pup postions sound good.

Yeah,the reverb on mine is almost non existent.

I've got a Nomad 45. Thought I would get rid of it,once I picked up the LSS,..but Nah!

Hey Picnic, I have mine set at around 2 o'clock also,..this after owning it for over a year,and wondering why my LSS wasn't even close as loud as my Nomad 45! When I checked the send level,it had been in the 10 o'clock setting since the day I bought it!

I found the same,... Actually,I don't think the LSS is very loud at all,it sounds great,..just doesn't get LOUD. I have a Nomad 45,that will make your ears bleed,....but the LSS is pretty tame,.. even on the 35 watt setting it is really noticeably quieter,..but it sounds better.

I noticed the same thing,it's not mentioned very much. I had thought I would unload mine after buying the LSS,..but nope,...I'm keeping it! Salesman at a local guitar store keeps asking me if it's for sale, everytime I go in there! As far as channels go,..I 've stayed on channel two for years!

Yeah,..I checked the level,..it was at around 11-12 o'clock postion,..probably what was go'in on....thanks

Does being in hard bypass, do anything besides just losing your output and solo controls? I switched it tonight,and I swear it gets louder now,..if it doesn't hurt anything,..I can live with just the master control,..I don't need the solo either.

I had the "crackling" problem too,..on all wattage settings,.although it got louder as I went down to the 5 watt seeting,.. I ended up tracing it down to one of the power tubes,..switched the tube with the one used on only the 30 watt setting,.5 and 15 watt settings are good now,..just can't...

It's the tube,... Pulled the power tube nearest the rectifier tube,..and switched it with one in the "middle",..static/crackling is gone on both the 5 and 15 watt settings,and only present on the 30 watt setting. I'll be calling Mesa next week,.needed some spare tubes anyway!

I'm getting Static/crackling sound from my LSS,on both channels,and on all 3 wattage settings. I'm hoping it's just a power tube,since it gets progressivly worse as I go from 30-15-5 watts. If I "push" slightly on the tube nearest the rectifier tube,the static stops for a secound,but I can hear...

No "popping" here either,.. If Mesa has "updates" and a "fix",..for the LSS,..would they send out some sort of "recall" message's to the orginal owners? If I hadn't checked this board,..I wouldn't even know about it!
