Scored an AMAZING deal on a Roadster Dual Rectifier 2x12!!!

I commented on your HFC post, but man! That ranks right up there for Mesa deals!

    Which Boogie Amp?

My cover band does everything from surf rock, 60s RnR and R&B, B52s to OK Go and I'd highly recommend a Lonestar Special. Mine handles everything we do it, sounds fantastic doing it, and doesn't break my back hauling it in the house at 3:00am after a gig. I use a TC G-System in 4CM to control...

WTB: MIDI Switcher for Mk IV

Thanks, man. I did see this, but was on vacation with spotty internet. The only thing that worries me about that guy is that he says the older equipment probably needs refurbishing. Probably true, and not a bad idea, but for not much more money you can just buy new.

WTB: MIDI Switcher for Mk IV

I've gone whole hog back into Mesa amps and recently bought a Mk IVa short head, and now I'd like to control it from my G System. I could do with a 4x switcher and control a 5th switch the GS, but would consider a 8x switcher, as well. *Edit* Bought a new Voodoo switcher.

    NAD: Back in the fold

Thanks! It's nice to be back, although, the past few days I've really felt like a Mesa noob, because I only had about an hour to really mess with it before practice on Sunday and my tone was okay, but uninspiring to say the least. Like many before me, I was questioning the wisdom of buying it...

    NAD: Back in the fold

Right you are! I had just looked at the tube layout diagram in the manual, which didn't show the jack, and didn't read the reverb section itself. Thanks! I had a chance to hook it up in 4CM and man does it ever sound sweet. I knew I shouldn't have sold my last rack, because now I want to rack...

    NAD: Back in the fold

Several years ago I joined an instrumental surf band and needed a "proper" amp for it so I sold my Mk IV to get a '74 Super Reverb. Say what you will about the wisdom of it, but I've got to admit that SR ranked right up there as one of the finest sounding amps I've ever owned. As long as you...

Thinking of Rejoining the Club: Recommendations Requested

Thanks guys. Elvis, I had forgotten about the Blue Angel. Good comparison with the '65 DR. I had a '66 DR, but I must be one of the 10 people on earth who aren't a fan of that amp. I tried out a ElectraDyne at home a few years ago, and while I dug it, I think it would be a little too loud for...

Thinking of Rejoining the Club: Recommendations Requested

My current band calls for a clean tone 90% of the time (We do early to mid-sixties rock and soul) . My preference is for an edge of breakup, "hot clean", with a good bit of my playing being on the neck pickup of either my Strat or Jazzmaster. I like that quintessential Fender woody and spanky...

DC5 Owners: which one do you have?

I don't have a 5 any longer, but mine was an A. I prefer a gainier clean that can be controlled with the guitar's volume, not a high headroom clean, so the A version was perfect. When I got the DC-10 from Monsta-tone, I had him mod Ch1 to sound more like an A. That was a great amp.

my C+ Coli that survived an f-5 twister

All sorts of awesome. I'm happy everything worked out with the Coli, but seeing that pic again and knowing you and your family were able to walk away from it has got me all verklempt. And God bless all that didn't.
