^^^^^ I'm a big fan of running two amp heads and cabs together. If I'm running 2 of the same heads I purposely set them a bit different so they tonally compliment each other in a mix. My question is: on 2 mkvii's, are you going to run same tubes on both or different tubes( or colors)?

Isolation and grounds are always big issues in these, even phase sometimes. Here's this other company ( no longer in oper.) that was making an improved version of the mesa.I liked what I saw there.

Looking at mkiib fs with serial # 7617. Does anyone know if that's a late enough # to have the RP9C preamp board? I dnt know if I'll be allowed to open it up to look. As a knowledgeable boogie friend reccomended to me,I'll give it a play thru anyways to see what it's like.

^^^^ I got to see them on that tour.It was It was over the top with mesa gear.I was fortunate enough to get to hang out with them on their against the law tour.They were still using quads and 400s,but thier mesa cabs were all black and blue stripes.

40 4x12 cabs ,you read that right,Stryper toured with 40 boogie cabs + quad preamps & strategy 400 power amps on stage.Also in this same article, Night Ranger,Scorpions,Metallica,Level42,Midnight Oil,Anthrax & Living Colour all mesa users; from the 89' mesa boogie bulletin newsletter.
