    Mark V Reverb delay

As far as the popping goes, I find that if I cycle through the footswtich once or twice after starting up, the popping disappears.

    Mark V Reverb delay

One suggestion that might help: Have you considered using an external reverb pedal? Reverb taste is so personal anyway that while both of my amps have it, I rarely use the onboard reverb anyway. You can completely get around the cut out / fade in behavior this way. Works great.

    Mark V Reverb delay

It is completely normal. The reverb is programmed to cut out and then fade back in over a few seconds during channel switches. The Roadster does the same exact thing.

Was hoping for this forum to grow more....

FWIW, I have a Helix and an FX8. Both of those sound completely transparent in the Mark V and TC-50 loops. I've tested it as such, bypassing the loops completely.

    Cab clone vs Mic

You can say that again. I do NOT like anything I've gotten from the CabClone. Sounds like dog crap to me. Very easy to get a great mic'd sound from a Recto cab, though.

Was hoping for this forum to grow more....

Love it. I also have a Mark V. Love that too. This forum never has been really busy compared to the larger, less specialized boards. And when you have an amp that isn't complex and doesn't need a lot of tweaking to sound great, you don't get a lot of folks rushing to the forum to find its...

    Mark V Channel 2 Problem

I'm also curious. Buddy of mine has this same problem. Anyone get it remedied?

TC compared to Royal Atlantic- Similar?

I have to ask...how loud were you running the clean channel? I can't get that thing to break up, no way, no how, unless I've got the drive switch on and the gain at an appreciable level. It's specifically designed to be a high headroom clean channel, even with EL34s.

Any issues with TC50 FX loop???

He didn't want you buying the amp out from under him. He is completely full of crap. I put my Fractal FX8 in the loop, disengaged all effects and noise gate, and then used the footswitch to blindly toggle the loop on and off while playing chords and letting them sustain. I had to look at the...

When I saw the title "Hand Dating"....I wasn't sure where this thread was going. :D Yes, mine is written in silver ink.

Mark V and MXR ten band EQ

I'm curious if you're using the onboard preset EQ or sliders and if you have a combo or a head/cab? I know with my combo, I wanted to add a little bit of low end beyond even what the onboard EQ could get me, and an external EQ in the loop, in my case an EQ block in the GT-10, could get me that...

    NAD! Officially MARK V owner!!!

Something on CH3 in Extreme mode with the bright switch on and the preset EQ maxxed out. Gain probably 3:00 or maybe a little lower with active pups. Treb: 1:30, Mid: 10:30, Bass: 11:00, Pres to taste. Congrats on the new Mark V! I am still in awe of mine. Every channel is a keeper, and...

    Mark V distortion loss

Very interesting! I wouldn't have thought a power tube would do that. You're not even using the outer pair of power tubes in 45 watt mode, so are you sure that it really fixed it? Only way to tell for sure is 90 watt mode. And I have to be honest, unless you're cranking it, the power tubes...

    Mark V distortion loss

I'd start with V3 since that is the 3rd gain stage for CH3 and 4th for CH2. That's the one they both have in common.
