Mark IIC+ is this one the real deal.....?

Yeah, " the cooling block".... I don't know the official name, that black ribbly thing on the right: It's is replaced by this: So thats my only concern, is that ok? As in: doesn't it matter, technically? By the way, thanks guys, for all your help.

Mark IIC+ is this one the real deal.....?

Thanks. Price would be 1500 now, by the way. The only thing is, he had the cooling block on the right removed, in order to install a line connection (Im waiting for a photo of that). He told me that his tech told him, that that block can be missed. It wouldn't add much, since it was on the...

Mark IIC+ is this one the real deal.....?

Hello everyone. Here in The Netherlands, there is a IIC+ for sale. The guy is asking 1600 (euro's). Im seriously interested, but doesn't it look a bit weird....? For example, only two powertubes....?

Studio Preamp send out: Line or Low?

Thanks for the info, really appreciated. I've noticed that at home, the low-setting kinda helps. Because that allows me to turn up the amps themselves (pre & power) quitre a bit more, resulting ofcourse in better, deeper tone. Without torturing my dear neighbours. I can not damage my gear...

Studio Preamp send out: Line or Low?

Hi all, Im the happy owner of two Mesa Studio Preamps. I read a lot of times that its best to use the Send to connect it to the poweramp (instead of the output, Mike B said it for example). What would be the best setting on the Line/Low switch in this case? Im not technical at all, so I have...

Which Marshall poweramp to pair with modded Studio Preamp?

Really, no one....? I mean, that's ok but Im kinda surprised, because a lot of people are into classic Metallica tone. And, the Marshall poweramp must have been a crucial element (since Hetfield used it on MoP, AJfA and TBA). And it makes A LOT of difference, tone-wise. But strangely enough, I...

Which Marshall poweramp to pair with modded Studio Preamp?

Hello everyone! I own a IIC+ modded Studio Preamp. Currently, Im using it with the Mesa 50/50 (also bought a 2:90 but disliked it a lot) But, obviously since Im in the Metallica section, I wanna pair it with a Marshall. I tried the powersection of an old JCM 900 50 watts once, and that sound...

Tonal difference between Mesa 50/50 and 2:90?

Thank you. Last Thursday, I paid a visit to the kind gentleman that is selling the 2:90. I could bring all my own gear into his house and really take my time testing. Long story short: the 50/50 had the 2:90 for breakfast.

Tonal difference between Mesa 50/50 and 2:90?

Hi gals 'n guys, Im playing on a Mesa 50/50 poweramp, paired with a Studio Preamp (IIC+ modded). I can buy a 2:90 now, but my question: does it add something, tone wise? Cause the 50/50 gives me volume enough. However, it sounds a bit too bright and cold or something... Harsh maybe.
