I'm really liking my newly acquired DC-5B combo, but I'm finding the drive channel very dark. I have tried a 5751 in V2, and a 12AT7 in the PI, but it's still dark. Seems a lot better through a Celestion Gold, but I'm wondering of there are any other tricks to lightening up the drive?

Oh, and also what type would be the right size for my DC-5?

I'm thinking of adding a 1x12 to my DC-5B combo. Looking around, there appear to be closed back, and open back cabs. But I've seen the open backed ones with different back panels. I'm curious how they sound, and which you'd recommend...
