Mark V fit in Mark IV Shell(s)

Would someone with a Mark V head or combo be able to measure the width of the chassis and distance between the mounting lugs?

Mark V fit in Mark IV Shell(s)

I have currently have a Mark IVB and am thinking about selling it for a Mark V. My IV was originally a combo but I also picked up a medium headshell, so I have both options with one chassis. Has anyone checked or tried to put a Mark V chassis in a Mark IV shell? Are the dimensions the same...

    Re-Tubing Mark IV Pre-Amp

A guy in another board said he "can't put anything russian (tungsol) in v3 or v4 because they are cathode follower" (this is on a Stiletto) so maybe I have to rethink this. I am realizing that I don't know a thing about tubes or tube choices though!

    Re-Tubing Mark IV Pre-Amp

    So I'm thinking: V1 - Jan-Philips 5751 ($12) V2 - Jan-Philips 5751 ($12) V3 - Tungsol 12AX7 ($15) V4 - Tungsol 12AX7 ($15) V5 - Mullard CV4024 ($30) Any opinions on that combo? Am I making any stupid decisions there (like spending 2X more on the PI tube)? Anything I should order along with...

Mark IV - Does this sound like a microphonic tube?

Haven't played through the amp for a few days, plugged in today and it sounds terrible! RHY1 sounds fine clean. But both RHY2 and Lead sound spiky and almost modulated (like tremolo or something) especially on the 2nd and 3rd strings with single notes. Even with the volume low, a bar chord...

    It's here!!!

I've got a Mark IV widebody combo, that I took the chassis from and put into a headshell..... Just wondering if the Mark V would fit into these (I like options :P )

    It's here!!!

How does the chassis size compare to a Mark IV? Would a Mark V chassis fit into a Mark IV headshell?

Anyone use a strat with a Mk IV?

If so, do you use a clean boost or overdrive pedal in front? I'm used to humbuckers, and the strat's pickups are leaving a little to be desired (stock american standard). Or maybe someone can share some settings?

Boss DD-3 Delay and Mark IVa

I'm having the similar problems with a DD3 in the loop of a mark iv, it's distorting/clipping like crazy and sound terrible - even on a very clean R1. I've tried playing with the channel master, but then it gets so quiet that it's really tough to balance channel volumes. Is there a mod to let...

Problems with delay in Mark IV loop

I'm trying to run a boss DD3 in the loop of my Mark IV and having some problems. The initial struck note comes through nicely, but all the repeats have some ugly distortion/breakup, this is on R1 set very clean. If I play softly it's not bad, but increases with heavier attack. Is the pedal...

    Great Customer Service Once Again

I'm still in the process of converting my wide mark iv combo to a head, and I 'm in need of a bunch of parts and itty bitty pieces to get it all set up. I've checked the local hardware stores and came up empty handed, so I called Marcus Daniel at Mesa today. Some of the things I want to get...

Got my head shell today - Some assembly questions

Nope No hardware at all, so I'm thinking there's a trip to Home Depot in my future..... I'll need to get some bolts and washers to connect the chassis as well. My combo is the newer style with the steel pieces on top, but the headshell is the older style that just has the bolts going straight...

Got my head shell today - Some assembly questions

Is there a bracket or something that goes into those holes? So the bracket would screw onto the outside, with the fan inside? Sorry for the n00bness
