damm. that doesn't look right. I really don't think Mesa would let their amp roll out of the assembly line like that. Something happened to that with the previous owner. I'd get it looked at if you have some return/warranty policy with GC or even Mesa. contact them both

that was a fun vid to watch. that particular amp that you bought is absolutely beautiful. Congrats on the amp. Make sure u got a good set of tubes in that amp and you're good to go.

yep. that really explains why my Ace sounded pretty underwhelming with the stock tubes and excellent with a graded Hot set of tubes. BIG difference. It really makes me question what the hell Mesa is doing by knowingly castrating their amps like this.

No exp with the Ace and a C90 speaker, but I run my Ace through a 4x12 with Greenback reissues and its GREAT. I recommend! Keep in mind that the Stiletto is a bright amp, but it cuts very well in a band mix. Get a good set of tubes in there, and some dark speakers and you're good to go.

yes! If you buy the combo, you are getting an Ace with a V30 speaker in it, open back configuration. I know you mentioned specially the head + Stilleto 1x12 extension, but I think you should consider your options. If you choose the heab + cab route, you are free to explore your options more...

hey alie, are u still running the channel 1 clean mode in diode section? I recall in this mode, you measured it to be around 49ma. encounter any problems running it like this?
