Stiletto Deuce Stage II head and cab for sale

A job loss means I have to sell off all my gear. :( So the Stiletto Deuce has to go along with the 2x12" Stiletto cab. This amp was played lightly off and on for a year and is pretty much in mint condition. I am the original owner and took care of it. I replaced the pre-amp tubes with tubes...

Standard Recto 2x12 vs Roadster 2x12

+1 on the RoadKing. I have two and they sound amazing. I've tried the recto and stiletto cabs and an avatar, but the RK is for me. I found the recto to be relatively boomy & muddy in comparison.

Road King II head for sale - Mint

It's sad, but I need to downsize. My Road King II head is awesome and versatile, but I need to lighten my load. I bought this RKII one year ago through Guitar Center (I waited 4 months for MB to build and deliver it so it was fresh from the factory) and I have taken good care of it. It's...

Road King II Series II Questions...

I have to tell ya. I own a Stiletto Deuce II and a Road King II and the first one I'd part with would be the Road King. Look, I actually like the Marshall tone and the Stiletto get pretty close. The RK cannot really duplicate it, even though the RK is killer sounding. The RK is just darker...

    Differences of 2x12 cabs

What's a Roadster cab? Isn't that just the traditional which is similar to the Stiletto? Or do people use recto cabs with Roadsters?

Stiletto Deuce clean chanell.Tell me your opinion.

I have a VerbZilla by Line 6 in the loop and I think it's pretty awesome for Reverb. You're right, I wish the Stiletto had reverb built in. Only downside to the amp (and maybe it's brightness, but different pre-amp tubes and the MXR 10 band EQ have tamed it).

    Differences of 2x12 cabs

My favorite cab by far is the Road King cab 2x12 (never tried the 4x12). I always play both speakers, but you can play one or the other. I have two RK cabs and love using them for not only my RKII, but my Stiletto and Marshall too. I wish I owned three of them! I've owned the recto cab and...

Worth switching my Marshall 4x12 cab for a Mesa 4x12?

I have to say my favorite cab is the Road King cab. I have two 2x12s and I play my Marshall and RKII through them, even my Stiletto Deuce II. I haven't found a better cab to my ears. I've tried recto and stiletto cabs and an Avatar (I even tried the RK speakers inside the Avatar), but none...

    Deuce Love

I used to hate my Stiletto Deuce stage 2. It was thin and had too much treble. I didn't realize I had a preamp tube problem until the thinness gradually turned into a volume drop of almost nothing. :( A full preamp retube (from Doug's Tubes) fixed everything and now I love it! :D I still...

i can't hear a clean sound at low volume!!?

Sounds to me like you guys need to retube. Specifically the pre-amp tubes. I had the same exact problem with my Stiletto Deuce. Volume dropped to almost nothing with fx loop or spongy vs bold, and sometimes would be unbearably loud. I ordered a complete set of preamp tubes (from Doug's...

Dual amps Stiletto and Road King

I never said the Road King was thin. I said the Stiletto was thin. The Road King is fat, but I can't achieve a good plexi-tone from it. The Stilleto is high and plexi-like, but annoyed me with high piercing tone. It needed some low end help, IMO. Running them together, they seemed to...

Dual amps Stiletto and Road King

I struggled to get good tone from either my Road King or my Stiletto Deuce, which seemed to be bit too high and thin for me. I retubed the Stiletto which helped, but I still not quite what I wanted. So, I wondered what they'd be like together. So I used my chorus pedal to split the signal and...

    Roadking I or II ???

Doing an A/B test between a recto and a RK cab, I found the recto cab was definitely boomy and muddy compared to the RK cab which seemed more defined and "tighter" but still had bottom end for chugs. I returned the recto cab after a few days back and forth. It's personal preference, of course...

    Roadking I or II ???

 Are you f'ing kidding me? No question, get version II. BTW, the RK cab is by far the best cab I've personally played thru. I've had a traditional, a recto, and an Avatar. I stick to RK cabs even for use with other amps like Marshall. Very flexible and kicks butt. I put the same...
