    Roadster Volume Loss

Hi Knotts, Yeah tried going direct with a good cable when it first happened at the gig, but the volume was still way down. I've just tested again today and typically.. it's working fine. I'm so confused!

    Roadster Volume Loss

Out of the blue at my last gig , I experienced a big volume drop - something like a 40-50% drop. It's never happened before. I'm using winged =c= power tubes which I tried swapping back to the stock Mesa tubes - didn't make any difference (other than worse tone from the mesa tubes). So if...

Found it! Smaller footswitch for the Roadster

For those of you in the UK or Europe and looking for a smaller footswitch, these guys have offered to build me one for £110 - http://buzzelectronics.co.uk Design-wise, it would look like the below link (but obviously won't be MIDI). Dimensions would be 230x145x55mm – much more practical...

    Roadster CH3 Issue

Can I ask what settings you're using on CH2? My Roadster channel 2 sounds like someone is pouring crap into my ears and then stirring it with a spoon made out of nasty tone. No matter what I do, I just can't get get it sounding usable :(

/bump Any ideas anybody? It's driving me crazy :-(

    Roadster Volume Drop

Last night mid-show, my roadster head suffered a MASSIVE drop in volume - easily more than a 50% drop - for no apparent reason. I didn't have time to check the cables on the fly, and luckily as I'm a frontman, I was able to let our other guitarist carry the rest of the show while I just sang...

Improving Lead Tone on my Roadster

Thanks guys, I've already got a Tung Sol reissue in V1, but I'll try swapping it out just in case it's a dud. Failing that I'll experiment with another OD clean boost and see what happens! A few people have mentioned to me that the presence control on the rectos has a lot to do with the...

Improving Lead Tone on my Roadster

So I've had my Roadster head for about 18 months now I guess, and whilst I love the rhythm tones I get, I've never been able to get a good enough lead sound. I find that it feels 'difficult' to get notes out - especially in faster runs. It doesn't sound or feel as fluid or as smooth as I'd...

Noise Issues with my Dual Rectifier Reborn :-(

Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions guys! Dom, in answer to your question, I'm not using any power conditioning, however the other guys in the band run off the same ac power and don't have any problems. None of the pedals on my board are daisy chaining power either. It's really...

Noise Issues with my Dual Rectifier Reborn :-(

No offence taken! It's always good to get a fresh perspective! I'll take a look at some other cables and see how I get on with them :-)

Noise Issues with my Dual Rectifier Reborn :-(

Thanks bendo - It's strange though, I always thought my cables were decent enough and that they were all shielded - I use George L's on my pedalboard, and then Planet Waves and Whirlwind cables for my guitars/fx loop

Noise Issues with my Dual Rectifier Reborn :-(

Hi all, I'm getting some probs with a Dual Recto Reborn that I've recently acquired. It's very noisy and I can't seem to pinpoint what the problem is - I think it might be a shielding issue somewhere but I really don't know enough about this sort of thing to make a properly educated guess...

    Roadster - Noise :(

Thanks guys! I'll give that a go tonight :)

    Roadster - Noise :(

Last night at rehearsal my Roadster head was very noisy on channels 3 and 4. 1 & 2 were quiet as a mouse - perfect. But Channel 3 is my main channel and so the noise was really frustrating. Couldn't spot it when playing, but as soon as I stopped the noise become apparent. This is with the...
