DualRec thoughts from a Mars**** guy...

I really like the Voodoo mod and the work inside is top notch. I wish I lived within driving range of Trace so I could let him tweak the sound a bit - I understnad he can really dial it to your liking in person. This one was modded before I bought it. I like the way the Ch 3 presence...

DualRec thoughts from a Mars**** guy...

I just bought a Voodoo-modded 3-ch. Dual Rec. I've been (mostly) a Marshall guy for the past 10 years though I went through a short blackface Fender period. Before my Marshall days, I had played a MK IV for about 10 years - bought mine in the first few months they were out - loved that amp...

MK IV Lead Channel - Possible Problem

Thanks for input, Boogiebabies and Screengrid. Now knowing that the tone controls are like an old Fenders, I'm not worried about the volume/gain drop when they're lowered. But I am still concerned with the volume difference between the channel master settings. With drive and tone settings...

    Mark IV Question

I gigged from '91 - '98 with a MK IV thorugh a Marshall JCM800 era 1960B and it sounded huge. I received alot of compliments on that rig from other players and soundmen. The speaker choice inside the cabs can make as much difference as the choice of cab manufacturer. Greystoke

MK IV Lead Channel - Possible Problem

Hey Guys, Hope someone can shed some light on what could be a problem I'm experiencing on the lead channel of a '91 short head MK IV. The lead channel master has to be pretty high to equal the output level of the rhy 1 or rhy 2 channels. I'll use rhy2 and the lead channel as an example. With...

    Makeshift Mark IV Reverb Switch

Thanks for info, guys. I have the Carling and Switchcraft parts around so I'll first give the simpler version a try when the amp arrives and hopefully be done. Anyone else that has done this and has any added info, please jump in - it's much appreciated. Thanks, Greystoke

    Makeshift Mark IV Reverb Switch

Hi Guys, Cool board - lots of great info. I'm wondering if anyone can help me verify/expand on some info I read in a past post concerning retrofitting an early MK IV (in my case a '91) with a reverb footswitch control. Here's the info from the post: I'll soon be getting my fouth MK IV (my...
