I have no issues with the look of the chicken knobs on my Fillmore 50 however I do like the look of those knobs better. I do get annoyed a little at the chicken knobs getting moved around so easy with the cover. I think I may order these.

So if I am to assume that one of my 6L6 power tubes is put in to standby for the half power switch then my question is, am I wearing out one of the tubes more than the other? I've been running on half power alot and I'm thinking that 80% of my use is going to be on half power.

I'm just wondering how this half power switch works? I thought maybe it turns off one of the 6L6 tubes. When I look in the back of the amp they are both lit up.

I can't see how it would affect anything to do with the tone or speaker. Its simply just to switch channels. I did end up buying a guitar cable and am currently using it on the mesa channel switching pedal. Seems like its fine.

I have not experimented with the half power switch yet. I can see it maybe being useful at home. I will be experimenting when I get some time.

I'm not sure I'd want more headroom than what my fillmore 50 gives me. It doesn't have near the clean headroom as other 40\50 watt amps I've owned but its so easy to get this amp in the sweetspot without attenuators. I never feel like I'm lacking in needed headroom. I don't require "twin" like...
