I would agree with your statement. A year ago I talked with the Boogie rep about ordering a custom hardwood cabinet. He basically said I would be better off ordering it through a small, local dealer rather than the local GC. He didn't seem too thrilled with GC and their level of customer service.

I prefer the original torn up/dirty/used-and-abused look. Refinishing or retolexing an amp erases the history. If I was you, I wouldn't change a thing. Or, if you really want it to look purdy, put the amp in a new shell, but keep the old shell in its current condition. Just my 2 cents....

I, personally, don't like when manufacturers create reissues. It is kinda like saying, "we can't innovate anymore so we are gunna give up and manufacture a popular product we made years ago." I guess that is why I don't care much for Fender and Gibson. Meh...
