Hi Switched on my RK2 mains power, all normal, then switched the hivolts on and there was an audible pop from the right hand side (looking from front) Now channels 1,2 and 3 are silent .. ch4 has really faint sound, - but with the pre amp distortion all sounding ok just really really faint...

The cleans on the RKII are vastly improved over the RK and the DR There's a few other tweaks but the main difference is the cleans. the RK gives you the choice of the EL34's and cabinet switching which the Roadster doesn't have I think You can get all the Dual Rec sounds out of a RKII --...

RKii has massively improved cleans (as well as other improvements) over the 1 -- I'm in love with mine if you read my other posts on the subject. I've had one for a while now and would not consider anything else (and I've tried quite a few amps!) Very sensitive to how they're dialled like...

And several months on now .. Much gigging, a bit more tweaking and the love affair is still going strong and growing ever more blissfull. I now use a well giigged boogie 4x12 with nicely played-in vintage celestions (man that is heavy to lug around .. But the road king head has already built up...

A few months in .... And still totally in love with the amp So versatile, so many sounds and flavors in one amp. I've gigged, rehearsed and recorded with it and it rocks. It makes me smile every time I switch it on, wait for the tubes to warm ... Flick it off standby and hit those first notes...
