    BOOGIE Coming to Andertons (UK)

GuitarGuitar got their stock of Mark V:25, Mark V:35 and Mark VII in this week... and have sold out straight away! Andertons have some models available, but others are also only available to pre-order. Definitely a high demand here in the UK

    BOOGIE Coming to Andertons (UK)

... and, potentially, much spending! I can't wait to just see a Mark VII in the flesh, so to speak.

Mark IV A/B & B photos of back showing difference

The easiest visual difference is the number / layout of the jack sockets, to the left of centre looking at the rear panel. The 'B' variant, as shown in the first 2 pics, has an array of 6 sockets, three in a vertical line and, to the right, three horizontal (Well, sort of horizontal - the centre...

    headphones use question

Yes, thanks. I've seen that the front panel master 'output level' knob has a pull-out function for 'silent recording'. The manual explains this mutes the speaker (combo version) but the amp still needs a load, and you can use a soak resistor (8 ohms) - which seems to be a slight oversight, I...

    The Mark IV thread....!!

A question for Mk IV experts... I don't own one of these (yet), but am often scouting out ads and listings of them, and am amazed and delighted at the variety of housings, speaker fabric, logo designs etc with which the model was manufactured. One thing I've noticed is on the rear panel...

    headphones use question

Sorry of this is blindingly obvious to people here, but I'm sniffing around buying my first MesaBoogie and have only used amps with pre-fitted headphone sockets. I know later combos from Mesa often have headphone outputs and/or speaker emulation features, but on older models without, eg the Mark...

Thanks everybody for the replies and excellent info! Just what I was after...

Can someone school me on the Studio Series/Caliber amps?

Just bumping this thread; Wiki has a great write up on the various Boogie 'Mark' amps and their tweaked versions, but I can't find much detailed info on the Studio 22. I seem to find images of some with seven control knobs, some with eight. And of course with, and without, the Eq sliders. Some...

    The Mark IV thread....!!

Hi all - first time post (and apologies if I'm derailing this chat, but this seems to be the best thread to request this info) I see from the Mesaboogie.com write-up that the Mark IV combo was available in two sizes, the Compact and the Wide Body combos. I've tried to find info on the actual...
