I'm super intrigued by what a IIc non-plus sounds like. I have a late IIb DRGX (RP9C board) and a IIC+ DRX. I love both. If the IIc takes what I love about both and combines them, I may have a task ahead of myself..

My absolute favorite speaker is also the MS-12. I use it with all my Mesa Mark's and with my Fuchs ODS. I literally almost sold my IIb when I was playing it through an EVM 12L. I know some love that speaker, but paired with my IIb, it seemed to either add or bring out this gross/nasty...

Wondering if anyone has tried them & liked them in Simul Mark II's. Also wondering if they should stay in the bias range for what Mike B recommends for EL34's in the class A sockets (25-35 mA, I believe), and where to buy/how to ask for tubes that will get me in that range.

I'd say it turned fantastically: 1. I liked it better after the simul-class conversion. I just happened to still like my DRX better, and I realized I don't need 2 Mark IIC+'s. That's why I sold it. 2. the sale covered all of the service + mod'ing costs.

I'm curious to get more information on these two preamp circuits: how they are similar, and where they differ. I'm moving this from another thread I started: I re-aquired the Mark IIb DRGX that I sold last summer. It has the RP9C preamp board. n.b. - I stopped playing guitar for 17-ish years...
