    Can you recommend me a good mic preamp?

    Was coming in hear to recommend exactly that. If only one channel is important to you, you can do better for 800. But the RNP is just such a great value that I think everyone should have it.

    Yeah, even a 128kbps sounds better than what myspace does to them. myspace crushes the hell out of your music so it sounds like isht unless you upgrade to a myspace pro account. Myspace takes your 128 and compresses it even more...

    Thanks for the replies! Yeah the mix was rough, and needs a bit more work, but I'm recording a full album so I'm basically throwing rough mixes together right now as I record everything, with a second mix through for every song when they're all done. Then they will be sent off and mastered...

    studio monitor advice

    If you're just recording in your bedroom and such right now, then you don't want/need very big monitors. I'd look at KRK RP5's or RP6's.
