    Mark III Ground Issue

    Makes sure your tech has checked the .05 600v cap that is on the switch itself as this will cause problems like this.

    IIC+ Hum....

    If it has reverb check out the reverb hum fix post. It's usually an annoying lower level hum on the clean side then is really obnoxious when switch to the lead side. This fix cleans up this noise on the reverb based amps...

    The drive side of the reverb circuit and the recovery side are two separate circuits not one.. Tube amps can be designed to be quiet, it's just we are accustomed to and made to think it is normal for them to have noise. And yes to some it doesn't matter but to some it does. For the price paid...

    Yes it can be replaced. Your tech will have to try a few of these because of the variances some will perform better/quicker than others.

    photo g's post says they are using relays in the mark5 so it should be resolved in that model but the mark 4 still uses LDR's and could develop the same kind of issues over time.
