Yes, I have played it a couple of times; one of my buddies has one and it's a nice guitar. The neck is comfortable, not as much as an Ibanez, but good. The guitar is very light, though, it feels weird; and the mate finish rubs off quickly.

Has anyone here tried or played through a Rivera Knucklehead? What do you think about the amp, compared to the Mesa Rectifiers, for example??

I got the GT-OD mainly because of the sound and the green casing (yeah, I know... childish decision :lol: ), althought there was a Classic Overdrive available at the time, at about the same price. You cannot go wrong with MXR overdrives, they sound really good.

In the realm of 7-string guitars Ibanez is definitely hard to beat. And yes, if you don't want to have a guitar with a neck that feels like a baseball bat, stay away fron Schecters.

Mmm good to know that; I remember reading somewhere that Dave Mustaine also used to have JBs in his Jacksons in the 80's and 90's. As far as DiMarzio SD goes... The guys from Suffocation use them.

So you have the Super 2 in your axe? In which position, bridge or neck? I'm thinking about putting the Super 2 in the bridge position of my BC Rich Ironbird, to give it a sharper sound.

Wow, I see a lot of love for D'Addarios, I'm probably going to try a set again; it's been 4 years since I've given up on them. I've been using 0.011-0.052 DR's (nice strings) and Dunlop (warmer and punchier).
