    Mark V:35 Channel shifting

I'd be interested in seeing this. I love the Crunch mode, and often wish I could switch between it and one of the clean modes in channel one.

Overdrive Pedals for Mark V 25

Hey OP, I have a V:35. What I do is set up channel 2’s gain to give me the heavy rhythm sound I want, then use an OD pedal set to low gain- only enough to push my leads into the higher saturation level that I prefer. This gives me CH1 for a nice clean sound, and with the same low gain OD...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

I have had a mark V:35 combo for about a month now, having sold my beloved Studio preamp and 50/50 power amp to upgrade. I just love this amp. I have not had any problem dialing into my kind of sound at all. The clean channels on this thing are both great, but I really dig the “fat” clean. So...

    Mark V 35 low end?

I’m getting good low end from mine. I get a little more when I run into a closed back cab, but the open back with the stock speaker is much fuller than I was expecting to be honest, especially in Extreme mode.

Looking at Mark V:35 or TC-50 - advice welcome

Just FYI, I ended up buying a Mark Five:35 combo. I'm happy with my choice, its been easy to dial in my preferred lead and rhythm tones, and the clean sounds are fantastic. The cabclone (which I am just playing with) is a nice feature. Nice to be able to turn off the speakers and get a decent...

Farewell, 4x12. Farewell, dreams of youth...

I just sold my Mesa Road-Ready 4x12 cabinet yesterday. This sale, along with the sale of my Studio Preamp and 50/50 power amp a few weeks ago, has given me some cash so that I can pick up a Mark V 35 combo. As I watched my cabinet roll away towards the happy buyer’s van, I was suddenly...

Looking at Mark V:35 or TC-50 - advice welcome

I tried a few amps today and thought I would post my reaction. All heads were run through a Bogner 4X12 with Celestion vintage 30’s. I used my Jet Earlewood, with Seymour Duncan P/Us. I played at both bedroom and moderate “shout to be heard” volume levels. TL/DNR I liked the V:35 a lot. I Loved...

Looking at Mark V:35 or TC-50 - advice welcome

Hey thanks very much, that's helpful feedback. I'll be trying them later this week, so I'm looking forward to the outcome. I am not closed to the idea of the big Mark V or TC necessarily. Only tone will tell...

Looking at Mark V:35 or TC-50 - advice welcome

Hi fellow Boogie aficionados; I just sold my Studio preamp and 50/50 power amp to help finance a new amp purchase. I've had that setup since 1990 and it has served me well. But my needs have changed. I'm considering either the Mark V:35 or TC-50. I rarely play out anymore, I mostly do a lot...

Studio Preamp IIC+ mod and reverb replacement outcome

Just to follow up on my experience with the mod; after a week or so of playing around with the EQ, I found that a little cut at 80Hz, plus a small boost at 2.2K and a little more at 6.6K brings my high end back to where I like it, and playing around with the settings of the lead gain and volume...

Studio Preamp IIC+ mod and reverb replacement outcome

Hi all; New member and first post... Nice to be among Boogie-philes. I have owned a studio preamp (along with a 50/50 power amp) since the late 80's, and have always loved the smooth, singing lead tone. I was less happy with the somewhat loose, fuzzy lower end in the lead channel, but it was...
