Back to the big daddy Mark V

Great post here! Glad that there are more supporters of this great amp and glad that you're back with the Mark V. I've had the IV and love the amp but when I traded my Bogner Shiva for the V. It was time to sell the IV. It took a bit of time to tailor the sound of the V and still finding new...

    Subway Rocket info

i have the rocket 44 and love it. It's a great compact combo that does everything well. Great cleans to searing distortion...actually think it has more gain than i need but that's ok. I have the gain set to 2-3 and it's more than enough for my needs. The thing I really like the rocket is that...

    Mesa signature amp

if it sounds as good as the c+....does it mean that it will devalued the original?

    Rocket 44 Settings

i'll pitch in mine also. Yes, i agree. There may not be many out there for the reasons why it isn't discuss as much as their other models. None the less it's a rockin amp! Since I've owned mine for 3 years. I've put NOS tubes for the pre and power section. Love it even more. I do find that...

New amp day in the UK - Mark V head

You'll have no problem with your acid test. The V will sit in the mix very well.

sounds like the tubes are cooking. Nothing out of the ordinary unless you smell something burning then we have a problem.

    Mesa Boogie Rocket 44

Had a chance to take the R44 again, but this time with some NOS Baldwin EL84's. This amp just kills! Distortion galore but very controllable. I never used it passed 3. Great cleans as well. The R44 held up great against loud drummer and I was in a room full of half stacks from a couple of...

    Mesa Boogie Rocket 44

Congrats! It's a killer combo! Definitely can hold it's hold against a loud drummer and quite a versatile amp. Shimmering cleans to sizzling distortion. It's rate 44 watts. Not sure when the year it was made but it's around 2000 and up. I don't use an eq for my amp, the eq on the amp works great!

    Mesa Boogie Rocket 44

it's a great little combo! Versatile and loud! Not to mention great tones once your get comfortable with the eq. I have plenty of amps. This one is just great for everything in a small package that I sometimes don't need my other amps while this will handle anything I throw at it. Keep me...

sounds good. Keep us posted! I may look into another speaker but i'm actually ok with the stock one. Best way to find out is to use it in a band situation and then i'll decide.

Subway Blues vs. Subway Rocket Reverb - Need Opinions

nope. The audible difference is not a problem. The Marshall DSL I have is more prominent.

Subway Blues vs. Subway Rocket Reverb - Need Opinions

Don't know about the Blues. I have the Rocket 44. Same preamp section as the 20 watter. From my experienced. It's quiet. There's plenty gain on tap so i leave mind around 3 or less. The cleans are great! Crystal, warm cleans. Overall, I wouldn't sell mine. It's a great versatile combo and it's...

    Mesa Boogie Rocket 44

You're welcome! I got into mids when i was a bassist for a band and the guitarist has his marshall mids dimed and his treble and bass down. When I heard how great it sounded and the way it cut through the mix I realized the power of the mids. You'll never get lost in the mix now that you know...

    Mesa Boogie Rocket 44

Let me know what you think? Listen to it when you playing live not alone. You'll hear the true power of mids then.

    Mesa Boogie Rocket 44

A little gain boost and alot of mids will certainly help you cut through with ease! I have mine at 9 and it sounds great with a band setting. I highly recommend it....
