Good amp, nice price.
Somebody buy this please as I'm seriously tempted and I can't realistically afford to buy another amp.
Put me out of my misery guys and take it off the market already.
Good luck with the sale
Yes, you still need a speaker (or a dummy load) to be hooked up to the mkiii even though you won't hear anything through it once the master volume is turned down.
On any amplifier the output transformer will always need some kind of resistance even if it's not used otherwise you will damage it.
Instead of using the slave-out which combines preamp and poweramp signals you could just use the preamp-out on the underside of the chassis.
This way the poweramp signal is not included (which you don't need anyway because you're using the Kustom as your poweramp) and you can turn the master...
I would say around £1000 for an all original Mark IV in good condition but like a previous poster already said, it's tough to sell anything custom and based on that I would place your amp at around £700-£800.
If you're gonna sell it on eBay keep in mind that potential buyers are always looking...
I remember that ad. I think he was selling it as a IIC and didn't even know it was a IIC+, maybe that's why he only wanted £800. Either way, you got a really good deal on that amp.
I was close to buying it myself but I've already got an upgraded IIC+ HRGX. But still that price was really...
Looks really clean, I always wondered what these 60W amps sound like but I know many forum members swear by them.
How long have you been looking for a IIC+ and what kind of music do you play?
Was that the amp in the Gumtree ad, located in Brighton?
Yes you're right, he did say that.
I think he explained to me that running on 60W the amp is actually ideally looking for a 16 ohm load even though it's connected to the 8 ohm speaker output which in that case would be a perfect match with my 16 ohm cab and would therefore sound more raw than...
I wouldn't get the + mod if I were you and I'm saying this as a very happy and proud IIC+ owner.
A long time ago I was in a similar situation as you. I was also looking to get close to the smooth, organic and vocal sounds that the IIC+ is so well known for.
I couldn't afford a IIC+ so I...
I can vouch for nocluejimbo.
I've bought a IIC combo from him (now a IIC+ and it sounds amazing) and he was always quick to answer all my questions and he handled the whole transaction very professional. You're in good hands if you buy from him.
BTW, I still owe you some tone clips dude, I'll...
