Lonestar Channel 2 Drive Volume Mod.

Hey, I was just wondering if it would be possible to use the existing slave out jack and pot for this? Would be handy to have the pot so accessible, so you can change it as you like Would i be able to use the existing pot? Love the idea of this this mod!

I think I may have just 'saved' my LSS.

try the mid mod (reeder mod 2) on channel 2 before the mod my LSS was very bassy - great for blues but not really a rock amp now i can still geta blues tone, but also such a great rock sound out of it - the mod really opens up the amps bass and mid settings instead of having the bass/mids at 9...

    ft switchable drive?

There has been talk of a guy a while back who had his lonestar modded by Mesa at hollywood, and they made his slave out the drive footswitch, and he said he could control it with the switch (he also posted that on harmony central). unfortunately he never gave us pics or schematics. So does...

    ft switchable drive?

interesting notion, i believe it would be possible. However, then you lose the solo ability on channel 2 dirty and on channel 1 For me, perfection would be a way of rigging the drive to the slave out jack and knob, and being able to turn the volume of the drive up/down with the slave out knob...

    ft switchable drive?

My LSS has a reverb Jack. The reverb jack on Lonestars (both types) is actually inside the chassis by an inch or so, directly under the slave out jack. It is a bit hard to reach, hence why i have a female extension lead going from the jack to the side of the amp, so i just plug straight into...

    ft switchable drive?

lol at Bottle Rocket (name is chmiel) I did not replace the reverb jack, no, The reverb switch had two wires - A and B. A was in charge of switching the reverb on and off, while B just went to ground. So while keeping B intact, i detached the A wire (and taped it off with electrical tape and...

solution for vol drop between ch 2 clean and drive?

Hey all I just did the footswitchable drive mod to my lonestar special today, so i have a clean channel, slightly dirty channel for open rhythm and then a big dirty channel for big riffs and leads. Unfortunately the rhythm channel (Channel 2 on clean, with gain at around 2:00) is always way...

    ft switchable drive?

also, my lonestar special did not have a 5th screw (the vibration/grounding screw) it is a 2010 model. were they only on the older models or something?

    ft switchable drive?

Hey guys, I did the footswitchable drive mod today. Love it! I didn't install a new 1/4" female jack, i just used the existing reverb footswitch jack. It is actually really easy to do this way as one of the wires (labelled wire B) goes to ground, so all i had to do was wire between A and the...

Pedals that stack well with LSS Drive channel

Hey guys, recently bought a Lonestar Special and a Stilleto Cab - absolutely loving the sound im getting with my Fat Strat and LP. I am using the drive channel with the drive engaged, and both knobs set to about 2 O'Clock - creating a nice thick, creamy but still harmonically beautiful and...

    ft switchable drive?

Hey guys, I was planning on disconnecting all wires going to the reverb jack (as i dont turn the reverb off) and using that as my footswitchable drive jack. Just wanted to see what you all thought, and would this affect the reverb in any way (other than obviously meaning i can no longer...
