Hi: I am really looking for cash...but I may well end up accepting a suitable trade with cash towards the Stiletto. I am in no rush to make a deal...so I will just field offers for a while. I will keep your offer under consideration. Preferences on trades would be (for example) Riveras; such as...
Hi. File these under 'Coming attractions`. Just got 'em on a trade and haven't had time to go over them well yet. I DO KNOW That the Bugera does have a working foot-switch. ALSO . . The Vibro-Champ XD has a modified speaker-board and the stock 8-inch speaker has been replaced with a 10-inch...
Thanks to Mesa for domestic R&D and buying American. I am VERY EXCITED to hear that the 'Filmore' is finally a reality at Mesa. I remember that the Lone Star was originally touted to have featured 'Filmores' and I can only hope that they turn out to be the perfect speaker for the Lone Star . . ...
NO. It absolutely, positively IS NOT HYPE. Bias those power tubes up to 39 to 42ma and the amp goes from sounding like hail bouncing off a tin roof to the big bad wolf trying to climb down your chimney.
Have speakers listed separately as well. Just trying to see which way people would rather purchase. The cabinet is a standard Music-Man 4 x 12 I bought used about 1994. It has the green grill with the Music-Man badge attached. It is the same size as the Ampeg V-4 4 x 12 cabinet...about 27" x...
Four Vintage 30's. 16-ohm. They came in a 'Music-Man' 4 x 12 cabinet I bought used in about 1994. I am placing 2 adds...because someone might want to buy the cabinet complete. Checking interest with this ad. Charles Reeder
Hey Boogie Gang: I have been considering selling my Stiletto Deuce (Stage 1) Head. It has the 'Mansfield' Bias Mod installed. The adjustable bias made ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD in the the sound of the Stiletto. Bias my EL34 tubes anywhere between 39ma and 42ma. Gnarly, snarly, it can growl...
Hey: Sorry to read about your problems. One thing I can concur with...that's the advice you've gotten from others...get a new tech....fast! You might want to 'blow the whistle' on this dude to Mesa too. He's not doing either the company or customers any good at all!
In your list of...
Hey:
Yeah; for kicks I've put some 6L6's in my Stiletto....both BEFORE and AFTER the bias mod.
Use the regular min/max recommendations for 6L6 tubes as a basic guideline and it'll work out O.K.
I didn't leave 6L6's in the Stiletto....just testing and evaluating. But some Mesa 6L6 tubes measured...
Yep; that's the one!
Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner; I've been very busy!
Best of luck with your cabinet project.
Post some pics when done and encourage others!

As plan-X said...I did find a source for the identical cloth as used in the Blue Bronco Lonestars...but can't find my file to pass it on to you. If you can do a search of my past postings you can probably find it. I repeat....It was EXACTLY the same cloth as Mesa used.
