The Mesa Boogie Rectifier Recording Preamp Thread

It's absolutely crushing 8) I've used the 4x12, 2x18 set up for a lot of years, but the biggest change was switching amps and pre- amps. I used to push everything with a Digitech 2120 Artist into a Marshall 9200(5881's). It sounded fantastic but there was always something missing, a certain...

The Mesa Boogie Rectifier Recording Preamp Thread

Since there's not a lot of info on the recto preamp I'd thought I'd just lump my post in here even though I'm not using it for direct recording. My curiosity lies in how others are using it as a dedicated peramp. I love my tone but I'm always searching for ways to improve it in the context of...

    Mesa Recto Pre Question

I'm running the recto pre with a simul-class 2:90. IMHO, when the modern voicing on the recto pre and 2:90 are linked it sounds like a dual rec roadster, then stack the deep mode of the 2:90 on top of that and it's like adding a MarkV on top of it. The sound is incredible.

noob looking for recto recording/simul-class 2:90 info

Definitely going for an extreme sound  I just had EMG 707x's put in my LTD 607B and I actually really like the 808's that are in my Ibanez. As for lugging it, it's lighter than my Marshall/Digitech set-up, and definitely lighter than my 2x18 bottom cab. Luckily I have friends that'll...

noob looking for recto recording/simul-class 2:90 info

I considered the Triaxis, but went with the Recto pre purely for simplicity. In the context of what I play, I need only one extreme gain crunch channel, I rarely play clean, but the clean on the recto pre is impressive and I'm not a soloist, I'd rather kick it with the drummer and bassist and...

noob looking for recto recording/simul-class 2:90 info

Noob on board! Just took delivery of my new recto-recording pre amp and simul class 2:90 and so far I love it! Just kind of looking for any tips and tricks as I am new to Boogie. I don't plan on using the recto-recording for much direct recording, just scratch tracks and keeping track of riffs...
