Don't run the amp (or any tube amp) without a load, the output transformer can be damaged. Most tube amps (opposite of transistor amps) can handle short circuit well, so using a jack where the tip and ground is connected probably works (ask Mesa Customer support to be shure).

If it still continious after the tube change, it could be a defective condencer in the power supply. Condencers helps removing AC from the DC power.

As i understand Mesa have offered custom options for most of it's amps. From cherry wood to crocodile skin. I have seen some variation in pilot light color. Is that a custom option to?

Does any one know how it reduces power ? I think clean sounds better at 60w, but distortion/overdrive sounds better at @ 100 watt. And what about tube life, does using 60w increase tube life?

In the Clean mode the sound and headroom is amazing, and better than any Fender i have heard. I whish they would have placed the revrb button on the front panel instead of the rear.

The Blue Angel has a tube rectifier for the power tubes and a transistor rectifier for the pre-amp tubes. The blue Angel can not change between the two like the other rectifier amps.

The EV12L "must" be used in a thiel cabinet they have a very low Qts and will not sound good in an open back cabinet.
