They're still pretty easy to find. I still love mine, many years later.
I had a treble pot replaced because I hit it on something and broke it, that's the only issue I have had with it other than re-tubing it after many years.
I can't believe it took me 10 years to try this. My old band had 2 guitars, so the blend between my t-verb and the other guy's amp was nice. In the new band I'm playing mostly by myself - I needed a bit more muscle and less grainy-ness.
It's not a Marshall, it has its own thing going. Like a...
I play a tverb in a punk band - sounds great and it's easy to dial in, I stick to the vintage high gain. I'm running through a mesa cab with 4 WGS Vintage 30 clones. Easy amp to set up and play. Always sounds good. I also have a JCM 2000, and that sounds great too, so look at that amp, it can...
I debuted the Tverb at my last show, and the vintage high gain channel was so incredibly fulfilling, it's hard to describe. I'm willing to lug around this 300 pound amp to shows, just to get the sound!
The singer for My Morning Jacket played through a Tverb head on SNL saturday night. He wasn't distorted much, but it's the first time I've seen one in HD! Just dropping a note in case anyone wants to check it out. I'm sure you can find the video online somewhere.
You're right on the money. UPS messed up my tremoverb on a short trip within CA. I filed a claim and it was fixed by Mesa, but it took over a month to get everything right. My UPS guy said he doesn't recommend UPS for large sensitive items.
I have to say, though that the staff at Mesa was top...
Thanks for the offer, but I'm keeping it!
I'm interested in EL34s because of my love for the DSL 100. I'm wondering if I will get closer to a blend of the 2 by changing the power tubes in the tremoverb.
They're the best bang for the buck speaker imaginable, I got em for about 25 bucks each, or something close to that. They are well made, and sound good. I can't compare to a real V30 because my other cabs use some other type of Celestions. I don't think my 1960a cab contains V30s.
I'm running a recto cab with 4 WGS speakers - those Ebay speakers that were quite the rage a while back. It sounds very good, although a bit fizzy. I haven't broken in the speakers properly yet, so I'll reserve total judgement until I've played a couple loud gigs with them. But on high gain...
Don't forget the Tremoverb, its a Dual Rectifier with great cleans. They can be found for around $1100 in good condition. Very versatile amp, I'd recommend it.
Hi guys, I just joined the rectifier club with a Tremoverb head! It didn't come with a slipcover, and I'm wondering if I can buy a standard dual rec cover.
I got a lot of great info from this board, and I can't wait to spend some serious time with the amp. I have a full stack of rectifier cabs...
