    Mesa MarkV / Saturation 'mod'

This makes sense. There is definitely a frequency there that is pretty much gone when its disabled. I've been using with the loop off for a while.

    Mk1 mode question

On a side note, underappreciated mode, i think its awesome. You can get great old school rhythm tones out of it.

    New Mark V Owner Question

Can you give a picture of your settings for channel 3. Should help on getting you to where you need to go. More saturation you are looking more toward the Mark IV mode than the Extreme, IMO.

    Mark V recording

I've done a fair amount of studio recording and this is the case. Recording amps you always turn your gain down as compared to live.

    Extreme channel

Extreme is less saturated then the other two channels and works really well with the volume knob like previously stated. You can basically roll off your volume and you have a nice clean. I do the typical EQ V with mine (low slider all the way up, next one at the mid line, middle a little above...

Back to the big daddy Mark V

So I just did some testing, with the loop on there is definitely something different in the mids. I know its a generic description but i notice more growl with the loop out. I may be able to EQ that extra mid bump out. The downside is that without the loop its really tough to adjust volumes...

Back to the big daddy Mark V

I do find turning the loop off can help you get channel volume the way you like. My clean channel is always slightly quiet where i run my master where i have to turn the channel volume up so much that i get slight breakup that I don't want. With loop off I can get my clean channel at the...

Wow changing tubes is a PITA

I'm able to get over to V1 but you better believe i moved that long shield over to an easy to get to preamp tube.

    Dear Mark V users

Also important to note that if you change a mode on a channel you will have to tweak your settings a bit. They aren't like incremental gain modes they are different sounds which is great. Its not marketing it really is 9 amps in one. The only big overlap between modes is bold/clean. Tweed on...

chan 3 volume too loud after retube?

Yeah i was gonna say that also.

New Member and a new Mark V

If you have had the amp less than 6 months they will send you a replacement tube.

RA100 vs Mark v vs Roadster

I've been really happy with my mark v. Haven't had issues playing it at lower volume. If you want a swiss army knife of tone you can't really beat it. You can get some pushed mid out of crunch on channel 2, or nice scoopage in Mark IV mode on channel 3. Also, it is important to note that you...

Any suggestions on making the V come ALIVE!

I thought the 10 watt mode used the tube rectifier I checked the manual and it didn't really say.
