    switching/isolating channels with triaxis/2:50 set

Sorry Vick, I didnt word that very well. I run a typical ABY setup, it just so happens that one side (A) is the 2:50, so in essence there is 2 sides on one side. The B side is a 5150 into its own cab and completely isolated from the Mesa side. I only use the two sides so I can drop out one...

    switching/isolating channels with triaxis/2:50 set

I currently play a Triaxis/2:50 setup through one side, and yse either a 5150 (or whatevers available) through another cab on the other side of the stage at gigs. This is really just for short breaks in songs where one guitar track drops out etc. Its not because I have to have 2 different...

Converting US amp to NZ 110-240

Thanks guys, they do pop up here pretty often too, its the fact that this is a 2 channel one which has me interested. Ive never heard a 2 channel one but apparently they are a bit meatier and less fizzy than the 3 channels. All good info though, if something is the size of a six pack I guess I...

Converting US amp to NZ 110-240

Thanks Barry, yes we have Jaycar, is your one not stupidly heavy or large? I think I have been thinking about isolating transformers , which I certainly dont want to be carrying around. maybe a step down isnt such a hassle to lug around?

Converting US amp to NZ 110-240

Hi, wondering if anyone can help me with a question regarding a transformer swap. There is a 2 channel triple recto for sale over here in New Zealand but its wired for US power. Ive read a little bit about "export" transformers, but Im assuming this one doesn't have one. can anybody tell me...

    Mesa recto tread plate 4x12s

Thanks for that mate, that answers one question at least! Mainly just want to know if I do take if off what it would be like underneath...but if it is just bare wood I guess I'd just leave it on...thanks again!

    Mesa recto tread plate 4x12s

One of these tread plate cabs has come up for sale but I'm unable to go have a look before buying, it's a bit far away. I just wondered if anybody knows if the treadplate down the side of the cab is placed on top of the regular tolex? I imagine its maybe just stuck to bare wood? I know it's a...

    TRiaxis FX loop woes.

Well a few months down the track and I'm posibly looking at getting an effects processor even though I SWORE to myself I'd never do that. I think for what I need a version G mahor would suffice and they do pop up used fairly often here in New Zealand, whereas the GM2 hardly ever does... The...

    VHT 2 90 2 vs Mesa 2:90

Thanks Jackie, that's very helpful. I'm working on hopefully getting up to him, or him down to me. I'd really like to be able to do it, but knowing my luck I'll love the Mesa and he won't like the VHT! This whole "too much bass" in deep mode is an issue I read about somewhere before. Assuming me...

    VHT 2 90 2 vs Mesa 2:90

I've listened to a few demos, but they never really give me that much of an idea. Interesting that you think the VHT was more "metal". That is pretty much what I'm after. Cheers!

    VHT 2 90 2 vs Mesa 2:90

I own a VHT 2 90 2, which I use with a Triaxis. A friend of mine has the MESA 2:90which he uses with a VHT Valvulator preamp. Basically he is interested in a straight trade for the power amps. I gather there is mixed opinion as to which is better, and it may all be personal opinion but I'd like...

    TRiaxis FX loop woes.

Thanks for your replies in this a2d...but I won't be buying any rack effects. I appreciate the time you have put into those posts though! Allphourus, thanks for your extremely helpful ones as well.

Smallest, most shallow rack for the Triaxis?

I have one of these, though I have to admit mine has a label on the front, not on the side like in the pic, but anyway, if I use right angle jacks to connect the Tri to the power amp, I can get the cover on, with VERY little wasted space. Straight connector cables mean I would have to disconnect...
