    Best cab for TA15?

OK just lit up the TA15 again in the other room where it's always been sitting, mostly unused...and it sounds great! Go figger... A/B'ing against an ElectraDyne is prolly not going to end well for the little TA anyway (not to diss the TA, it's awesome). Wondering if I screwed up the cabling when...

    Best cab for TA15?

Howdy, I just about sold my Electradyne today but couldn't go thru with it and decided to keep it. WHile it was on the block I played around with my long-ignored TA15 for awhile, matched to a 12 Recto cab. While A/B'ing the two I discovered the TA at least thru the Recto sounds awful. Tinny...

Considering Electra Dyne, looking for advice.

I'll chime in my .02 as well, it's a great amp, I have the 27" combo. But man is it loud...and yes it's bassy but this can be EQ'd down. Did I mention it's loud?

    TA 15 mods?

As a cheat I just put a Boss '65 Fender Deluxe Reverb inline, givers me reverb and some boost. I love this amp.

    Back to the Dyne

Yes I just "went back" to my combo 27" after trying to sell it for peanuts with virtually no inquiries...don't need the $ so I refuse to give it away, it's such a beast of an amp (in a good way!). I'm now using it every day, love it. Fortunately I'm not gigging so I don't have to worry abpout...

    Hi1 on TA15 just ROCKS!

Dunno why this forum gets so little traffic, but the TA15 is a great amp, love mine just don't use it enough.

Removing grill on 5:50 plus head to replace tubes

The grille is set in a kind of adhesive rubbery gasket that eliminates vibration. You don't need to remove it anyway, remove the 4 screws that hold the top straps and slide the whole thing out

    NAD Electra Dyne 1x12 widebody

It's a beast of an amp, but I just grabbed an Ernie Ball MVP pedal to work as a "sort of" attenuator, will see how that goes. It does sound great at low volumes (clean) but you really do need to push it to get the tones it's known for. I like the speaker. The amp is VERY bassy and a bit dark...

    NAD Electra Dyne 1x12 widebody

Picked up a virtually brand new ED 27" last week, paid the Canadian equivalent of about 700 USD. What a steal for this beast! It replaces a recently-dumped Express 525 1x10 that gave me fits over the last couple of years as I tried in vain to increase its bass and cut its hiss (failed in both...

    TA15 inbound!

Love mine, such a flexible amp in a cool and handy form factor. I use mine with a mini-rec slant 1x12 cab.

Small percolating noises from my TA15

Howdy all I just went thru a Mesa factory repair for a bad cap on my Express 525, now my TA15 is making light background percolating noises (random sizzle, scratching etc). Not very dramatic but certainly not what I'd call quiet background hum. Now what? Failing preamp tube somewhere? Cheers

"Normal" hum on Mesa 5:25+ Combo

Mesa called to tell me they replaced a capacitor that was causing my probs, so I guess that's a good thing. Now I just have $300 worth of unnecessary replacement tubes sitting around (2 full sets). I guess that means I should play more...there's a concept!!! Amp gets back next week, curious to...

Express 5:25+ struggle with channel two

+1 on the Tone Tubby, I put a 4040 in my 525 1x10, it's a totally different amp (in a good way). Can't wait for the 40 hours or so of breakin period to elapse!

"Normal" hum on Mesa 5:25+ Combo

RMA= Return Merchandise Authorization...just a requirement to send the amp back for a repair. They are going to do a complete check, but they think there is something definitely wrong. Interesting about your V25...I've just got the bug for one myself :) Good to know they're quiet. I just bought...
