Cleans on the single rec can get surprisingly close to break-up depending how the gain is set & pushed mode gets some dirt.
Clean on my 3 channel dual is more pristine clean if that makes sense.
The 1998 Single Rectifier can get pretty brutal in modern mode for 50 watts.
Its a cool amp.
Hard to tell. Def 4 Marshall heads in a case with a rack to the right. 800 series too as the front metal panel goes all the way across. Rack to the right has what could be 2 MESA MK amps in a short head version but so blurry can't tell.
Could be several thing going on. Jose Marshalls by ARRCO...
I wrote down the settings & EQ settings. Going to experiment. Have to take into account their racks tho. Gillis has the Presence & Treble on "10" which i never do. Interesting.
I have my amps dialed in well tho.
I used stainless steel & copper picks in da 80's. I had no idea anyone else was...
Ive heard different things about Brad with Oz & over the years. To be honest i cant tell the dif between a MK IIC+ & ++ but whatever.
Tone is subjective & different for everybody.
No 2 humans are the same ears included.
Sounds as tight as anything ive heard.
May not be enough mids in a mix tho.
I think IIC+ prices are ridiculous now. Nothing i cant get with my MK III.
Not bad for a 40 year old amp.
Brad Gillis played 2 MK IIC+'s on "Speak of the Devil" tour with Ozzy right after Rhoads death.
Hard to believe...
