I use pedals for modulation in the effects loop of my MKIIB+. An OD on the front end for a little more

The old 2-knob BOSS OD-1 worked very well with my 1978 Mark I between the Les Paul and input jack. The amp also had the "Post FX Level" mod with its knob on the rear of the chassis.

I do not need pedals but do make use of them for effect. Mostly reverb.

The only amp I thought was useless with pedals even though it has two FX loops is the TT800.

My Exotic EP booster stays on all the time with the knob at about the 11 o'clock position, and I use the Exotic RC Booster when I split the coils on my Anderson's just to get the signal strength back up to the humbucker level.

Tuner :) comp, phaser or chorus, tremolo, delay.

Sometimes I do without dirt pedals, some other times I might add an OD, a boost, or a distortion (RAT). It depends.
