tubes tubes tubes???

hello...new to the board.
about 8 months ago got my first mesa - a dual rec. love it.
was wanting some advice on tubes...which ones would give the chunkiest sound for metal..you know that really ballsy but crisp sound..i mean the ones in it are fine but was wondering if i could get more of a thicker sound.

Check out www.eurotubes.com and www.dougstubes.com and read the descriptions.

I like EL34's in my Dual Rec but they don't have the thump that the 6L6's do so you might not want to go that route, I do find them way more crisp though.

I've heard good things about the JJ 6L6's that eurotubes has but I have not tried them myself, hopefully someone who has will post in this thread.
